The hotels that are usually in Yosemite or very close to Yosemite tend to be booked or very expensive for a family willing to only spend about $250/night max. This lodge cabin cost us about $120/night and provided what one would expect out of an accommodation for that price range. The rooms were clean and felt homey. The beds and...

We stayed here in one of the tents after spending the day in Yosemite.we finally found our tent after much searching. Would certainly advice arriving in daylight if you are staying in one of the tents. We had shared toilets / bathrooms but that wasn't a problem . All clean. The restaurant / bar is very good. Very chilled out...

What a lovely place. Cabin rooms, stylish and in the middle of the woods just outside Yosemite park. Super decorated. Clean. Super restaurant. Great food and cold beers. Just relax with friends. Heavenly. Recomended. A hidden gem.

Tucked away on its own bend along the stream, perched under a grove of black oaks, the Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort has a magical feel. Located only 26 miles away from Yosemite Valley along California's scenic, open all year Highway 140. This is a great alternative to staying inside Yosemite National Park. It is about a 40 minute drive to the park entrance but that wasn't a problem for us. The room we had was simple, but had it's own bathroom and had all we needed for our short stay. We ate at the cafe every night of our stay and...

We booked through Extranomical Tours and were totally unprepared for the distance and amount of difficult hiking required to reach this location. The local bus ride from Yosemite is over an hour, which wasn't too bad. However, the local bus dropped us and all our luggage off a half mile from the Bug Hostel. That half mile is mostly uphill...

Very helpful and friendly staff, clean and comfortable. I stayed in a dorm. Beds would benefit from individual lights so the over bight strip light wasn't the only option...my eyes! Easy drive in to Yosemite.

My wife and I stayed at the Bug at the end of August and were very pleasantly surprised, particularly given the cheap price when compared to accommodation within the park. We only had one night there and limited time within Yosemite national Park but the busses between the park and the Bug are fairly frequent during the day and took...

The Yosemite Bug is rustic, they deliver what they promise. Private room with shared bathroom was a good size, clean and comfortable but, you guessed it, rustic! The restaurant offers a great menu, changing daily, at very reasonable prices. If you are prepared to make the 40-45min drive into the park, a lovely drive, then this will fit the bill....

1st night we were in a private dorm style room with shared bath. The dorm was a concrete block with dirty carpeting, stain on bed spread and teen furnitures made of metal. Shared bath / toilets were renovated but both washers (which were located by the shared sinks) were broken with someone's wash inside. Windows had old sheer curtains hanging...
