After many visits to SLAC and the Stanford Guesthouse, I can conclude that this place is the best option for people who have a working visit to SLAC or in general visit the Stanford University and Palo Alto area. Prices are reasonable compared to other hotels in the area, while the rooms are impeccable, clean, large (at least by European...

The guesthouse is in an ideal location next to the SLAC. It is very convenient for those who would like to enjoy the scenery that Stanford University offers. My room was excellent for a business traveller that I am. I would recommend the guesthouse any time!! Booking has to be done early though.

This is a no frills European style guest house surrounded by nature. Stanford Guesthouse offers all you need and some perks, like the complimentary shuttle. Yes rooms are small, but tastefully decorated. Get an upper floor to enjoy the scenery and natural light. A great business center with a laser printer and even a stapler! Best deal in town. Courteous...

We are very happy we chose to stay at the Stanford Guest House, rather than a chain or other place in the area when we were visiting the university. the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. We stayed here over a week and had a double room with 2 beds the first few nights and then a single...

Cost-effective place to stay when visiting Stanford University or SLAC. Rooms small and paper-thin walls. Decent breakfast is included in the price. Interesting mix of folks staying here - if you plan to work the night shift and sleep through the day make sure you ask for a quiet room.

Recap: For many years this has been my go-to place for Stanford visits. Room: The rooms are somewhat small and with basic amenities at a 3star level, but very clean, comfortable and hard to beat Palo Alto prices. Location: The guesthouse is located on Stanford's large campus within the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory area. During all my visits, I have...

As others said, the rooms are extremely small but I would say still suitable for 2 people if they don't mind being cramped. The bed was very comfortable and the room quiet. The hotel is out of the way and there is nothing nearby (another reviewer said 15 min walking). Free shuttles provide easy access to campus (either hotel shuttle...

I would definitely stay at the Stanford Guest House again. The room was super quiet and comfortable, but very small (I had read some of the reviews that said the rooms were small, and I would definitely agree; I think it's fine for one person, but with two it might be a bit crowded). The view was pretty nice. The...

I spent five nights at the Stanford Guest House while attending a nearby conference. It was a great hotel: clean, decently-well appointed (I didn't find it as austere as other reviewers), and at a perfect price. The complementary breakfast was good, the shuttle service into Palo Alto really useful, and the Marguerite shuttle provided great connections into the university and...

As noted by other reviewers, rooms (1 queen) are very small. But they are nicely furnished with excellent bed linens and a very comfortable bed and perfectly fine for one person. The space would be too cramped for two. The hotel itself is a bit out of the way but the new Starbucks in the parking lot helps. Breakfast is...
