We stopped in to Mendocino and needed a relaxing place to stay. The Didjeridoo was the perfect fit. Not only was it quaint and funky (which I love) but they also had a cookout that night for the guests and a living room concert with some local singers/songwriters. It was wonderful and we loved our stay. Would come back here...

Most Hotels and Motels are variations of a institutional chicken coop experience. Not this one! Get transported in time to a century old victorian and imagine tall ornate ceilings, a functional fireplace in your room, large 4-poster beds, spacious surroundings and a staff that makes you feel at home. This is the Didjeridoo. The veranda and surrounding gardens are a...

The Didjeridoo is a real hidden gem! The location is perfect, walk right to shops and restaurants. Right across the street is a path to the beach. Its so nice to just park your car and be able to walk around, not drive hunting for parking spaces! The Inn is very relaxed and comfortable. Stuffy people can keep on walking!...

We were here for a family reunion/birthday celebration. Yes it's an old Victorian, Yes, it's Bohemian in all the best senses of the word! This Inn is well located in the heart of the little town of Mendocino, walking or biking close to everything. Charles was a great host, providing a wide and varied breakfast menu for the 3 mornings...

The Didgeridoo Inn is a gem of a B&B perfect for weary travelers on the Pacific Coast. The rooms are cozy, and breakfast is abundant and delicious! I really enjoyed my room with a fireplace and clawfoot tub. The Inn is right across the street from a great swimming beach too! Charles is a welcoming and responsive host, and he...

Enjoyed our stay. The owners made us feel at home and were very helpful. The breakfast was great! We took a walk along the trail directly behind the church in front of the Inn and loved the view and walk. That was one of the best parts of the stay. The views are beautiful in a short walking distance. We...

Ok, so I'll try to be tactful, as the people who own & work here LOVE this unique B&B. If you are used to a hotel of a modern standard of decoration & expectations, this place is NOT for you. If you want a unique, homely & bohemian experience, in this old house, then this is the perfect place for...

Hi! I like the title but maybe a little more tactful to not use your cell phone to take pictures of things that mostly you wouldn't notice if you just stand back and view the beautiful place as a whole. I think you guys had a GREAT TIME but its hard to tell with you Brits (hahah) Im not mad...

I Booked a room here for a couple nights on a coastal driving trip with my spouse and am glad I did. It was right in town, and an easy walk to the water, grocery store, shops, etc.. The room was eclectically, yet nicely appointed and we felt cared for by the owner/staff. As fun as it was to explore...

Spent a couple nights here with my gal. Awesome place to stay when visiting Mendocino. The proprietor, Charles is a very friendly, personable guy who makes you feel like you are staying at a relatives home. Great breakfast and, if you time it during the right season, he serves a Abalone dinner on Sundays.....YUM. Thanks for "keeping the community vibe...

We had a great weekend in Mendocino! The inn was a perfect location for a hiking, biking, beer tasting, wine tasting weekend. The coast was gorgeous this time of year with beautiful wild flowers! The inn was amazing! The best B and B we've ever stayed in. The breakfast was indescribably delicious! And the abalone potluck was so unique. Definitely...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Great Food, Art, Music and Vibes await you at Didjeridoo. Set just across the road from the ocean bluffs and the oldest Presbyterian church in California our spot in the village is cool. Walk to great eateries and all the local shops or relax and meditate in our beautiful gardens and historic lobby. See local art displayed in our relaxed lobby, break bread with us at our open pot-lucks & drink wine with us :) If you play bring your instruments, music happens here. Didjeridoo is perfect for weddings, reunions, small private parties and any other happenings that need to be in a place of love and beauty. Our rooms are great too! They range from quaint to fancy, some Victorian some simple and zen, all beautiful. We are Mendo people and want your visit to our village to be special and cherished. Peace Please note Didjeridoo is not a place that uptight conservative people will enjoy, in fact they will write bad reviews and hate it like they hate many things in life. Didjeridoo is most enjoyed by cool people looking for a nice stay in a beautiful place in an extremely friendly environment. ... more   less
