As we were on a roadtrip & wanting to experience local culture, we saw this place when we entered town & thought it cute. But curiosity lead us into town to see if any B&B would be more desirable. At dusk, we returned & requested to see a room. The 2nd one suited us. The young couple who manage this...

Each of the rooms are named a western term like "Blacksmith" "Sheriff" "Saloon" etc. Some have fireplace and others have Jacuzzi spa's. Although no breakfast is provided the lady makes "Lemon bread" or cookies etc. found in your room beside the coffee maker. They always have a special going on so check their web site before you call. Although right...

My wife and I get away whenever we can. The Mendocino area is one of our favourites. For us, The Blackberry Inn is THE place to stay. We have been coming to 'The Blackberry' for many years---and it is always a joy. The Western Theme, the individuality of the rooms, the amazing location, cleanliness, amenities, service, friendliness, and the wonderful...

Only spent two nights here but was worth it. We had Dorothy's Sweete Shoppe and it was big with a microwave, fridge. Location is across the main road to the east and up on a hill. Trees have got bigger so ocean view is peeking through. The owners are in their nineties and she does the baked goods for the...

We stayed here with a group of friends and had a great time. Fortunately, the weather was sunny. The staff (Melissa & Lou in particular) are very efficient and accommodating. The room was comfortable, quiet, very clean and affordable. Would stay here again. If you're looking for resort-type accommodations, look elsewhere.

We were really hoping for a good experience after the TA reviews but it was just good... Less expensive than other places and wonderful fireplace but so foggy that I'm glad we didn't pay for an ocean front view... Breakfast was 2 muffins in a ziplock bag in your room... Wifi was non-existent...

We are very sorry about your experience with the WIFI. We recently changed over to a higher speed connection and have been experiencing a number of issues. Though it can't make up for your experience... we have ironed out the issues and are running at full speed now. We do offer a basket of home-baked goodies for our guests, but...

Last weekend, we spent the night at the Blackberry Inn. We were extremely pleased with the service and room. We were traveling from the East Bay and were not able to meet our arrival time but the staff there was understanding and accommodating. We stayed in the romantic and cozy Sheriff room. Once we arrived, we were greeted with a...

Last week we spent a couple of nights at the Blackberry Inn, a short distance (across the highway) from Mendocino village. We stay in Mendocino at least once a year for a big event we put on up there and have decided Blackberry is the best value in that beautiful but pricey little town. It has a super kitschy outdoor...

This is a very charming place to stay, a bit away from Mendocino city centre. For us, it was a perfect stay to relax on our road trip. The room was spacious with a refrigerator and microwave. There is also lots of room to sit outside in the garden and have a nice talk with the very friendly staff. For...

This is a wonderful, small, off the beaten track and charming location for you to enjoy the Mendocino-Fort Bragg Community. Somewhat secluded from Mendocino Village, but near enough for convenient visits to the Mendocino Village for walking, restaurants and trips to the local market. Our hosts, Melissa and Lou, couldn't have been more accommodating and hospitable. They really want you...

“Avoid The Bank!”
  • Two hangars. Are they kidding?
  • Spots all over the carpet. Probably the source of the bad smell.
  • Can't they see the drapes are about to fall down?
  • Crumbs on carpet near baseboard. More inattention by the cleaners.
  • How tough would it be to touch up the caulk on the bathroom sink?
