A long overdue review - we stayed at the Blackberry Inn for the first time a couple of years ago, and it was a charming experience the first time we walked through the door (we reserved the "Livery" room). What really set this place apart for us was the fact that about half of the rooms have a wood-burning fireplace...

My husband and I have stayed here at least 3 separate times in the past few years. It is an older establishment, but well kept. It is always clean, and everything is always in working order. The staff is friendly and helpful. The prices are very reasonable, and they have rooms for all budgets. The decor is a bit eclectic,...

Our family (3 adults, one teenager, and a small dog) enjoyed two nights here on our first visit. Quiet and convenient location, comfortable bed, nice views, dog friendly, good service. and we appreciated the complimentary champagne. The grounds are well kept, but beware of dog poop in the open field!

We had a wonderful stay here over Christmas. It is very affordable yet offered oceans views with two rocking chairs and a great wood burning fireplace. It is close to downtown Mendocino yet is very private. The grounds are beautiful and, even though we thought the Hollywood theme might be "hookey," in fact it added to the charm. Wonderful home...

Our first time to visit Mendocino and this property is well kept, very clean, loved the old west theme. Lou and Melissa were very helpful and made our stay truly enjoyable our daughter did not want to leave. The complementary wine and the bake goodies are a really nice touch. We will definitely be back.

This faux western town is really cute. Some pet friendly rooms, homemade goodies each day. A free (albeit small) bottle of Husch wine. Clean, comfy, mini-fridge, some dishes and utensils, microwave, TV. Would definitely stay there again.

We arrived and were upgraded from the Saloon to Margerite's Millinery. This was a large king room with a fireplace, patio and jacuzzi tub. The fireplace was all set up and when we lit it, the fire burned perfectly for a long while. There is a view of the ocean from the tub and from from the bedroom which has...

“Avoid The Bank!”
  • Spots all over the carpet. Probably the source of the bad smell.
  • Can't they see the drapes are about to fall down?
  • Two hangars. Are they kidding?
  • Crumbs on carpet near baseboard. More inattention by the cleaners.
  • How tough would it be to touch up the caulk on the bathroom sink?
