I'm not really sure what's with the Wild West theme with the Blackberry Inn. There was no wild west and cowboys in Mendocino, which was mostly a fishing town back in the day. But be that as it may, the Blackberry Inn is a very nice place, with nice rooms and it's very comfortable and clean. We were in the... More

Really cute themed cottages to stay in. Lovely real fire and couples hot tub overlooking the headlands. Comfortable bed and cosy armchairs to sit by the fire. Decent wifi. Nice complimentary cookies and muffins. But... 1) it's expensive 2) it is a short 5 min drive to Mendocino town. You could walk it but it involves crossing a really huge... More

What a wonderful little inn! The humor and charm of the outside is matched by the warmth and coziness of the inside. Our room was clean and bright even on a stormy day. The inn is far enough from the road to be peaceful and really quiet but we could still see the ocean and even hear it a bit.... More

We stayed her for two nights in September while attending a wedding weekend nearby in Mendocino. Each of the units is unique which makes it a different experience. While it is a little dated (particularly the bathroom could use some upgrades), the room was clean and well supplied (including a refrigerator and microwave oven). Our room (Assayer) also had a... The Blackberry Inn is cute and quiet. It is thematic and not fancy or modern in any way. We stayed in the sweetly furnished Barbershop room with a fine view over a large yard towards the ocean. The clean room boasted an armoire, two (somewhat rickety) bedside tables, an 8 drawer dresser!, a large refrigerator, microwave, plates and utensils, and... More

I loved every minute I was here. The greeting I received at the front desk was great...he told me about local activities and where they were. My room was beautiful! Muffins and cookies were a nice touch in the kitchen. There was a fireplace in my room which I used and a spa tub which was nice after the long... More

It's our first time trying out this inn. We stayed at the Bank for 2 nights and 3 days. If you like modern, go away from here. We choose this for country, victorian and nothing of the city ambiance. Pros: 1) Moist Chocolate Coconut cupcakes and Peanut Butter Cookie every morning. Moist cupcakes, don't just stare at the ziplock packaging,... More

Well worth the price charged. Spacious cottage type room with a fireplace, hot tub and shower. Not located right in town but a short drive from the central business district. Was nice and clean. Did have too much on the bed. Many decorative pillows and a heavy bedspread. Had a nice little kitchenette and dinning area.

  • Two hangars. Are they kidding?
  • Spots all over the carpet. Probably the source of the bad smell.
  • Can't they see the drapes are about to fall down?
  • Crumbs on carpet near baseboard. More inattention by the cleaners.
  • How tough would it be to touch up the caulk on the bathroom sink?
