Stayed for one night at this little motel and very happy -- it is nicely located downtown, a little 1950s (?) era motel that has been "upgraded in all the right ways" according to one reviewer. Couldn't agree more! Crisp white sheets and duvet covers, comfy pillows, clean newer carpeting... very clean (but small) bathroom with nice stone/tile upgrades. It...

We are visiting California and had 2 nights booked at the Mariposa Lodge beginning tonight. Mother Nature had other plans. Yosemite has closed its park. We waited until this morning hoping that the weather forecast was wrong. It wasn't. In calling Mariposa Lodge I understood that I might be charged for one night of our two night stay. A return...

Over the last 10 years, I have frequently traveled from Fresno to work in Mariposa and stayed at most of the Mariposa motels. This is the best for the value and for most desired features. The rooms are spacious, the heating/cooling unit works flawlessly, the wifi works great and the rooms have small refrigerators and microwaves and coffee machines.

I first stayed here about three years ago, when I picked it off the internet for a last-minute winter getaway to Yosemite. There was nothing available/affordable in the park, and since I wasn’t a Yosemite newcomer, I was willing to forego the experience of staying there. Since then, I’ve stayed at the Mariposa Lodge several times in the winters for...

Our room was spacious, clean, and affordable. Beds were soft and comfy. The old toilet seemed to be from the 70's or 80's. Bathroom floors had new laminate wood floors that were shiny and clean. The walls were very thin, so I could hear someone talking in the middle of the night. Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants....

Room was a very generous size, as was the bathroom. A bit old fashioned but beds were comfy which was the main thing after a day hiking at Yosemite NP! No laundry available, and the dry cleaners in town had short business hours, so that is the only downfall we found.

Mariposa Lodge was referred to us by the Visitors Center after a bad experience at another local hotel. The staff here was very nice and the room was great! Easy to walk to a lot of the restaurants in town. They are AAA approved and we got an additional discount for our membership.

My husband, his brother and his wife arrived in Mariposa very tired and hungry after a long day driving through the Tioga Pass in Yosemite with a flat tire, which the "boys" had to keep pumping up! The very kind woman at the Mariposa Visitor Center recommended the Mariposa Lodge and what a comfort it was! We stayed in a...

The hotel offers simple but clean rooms. The staff was nice, but the Wifi not always working very well (especially in the evening/night). Not a cheap hotel but still ok. You still need about 50min to drive to the NP but Mariposa is a small nice town where you have some good restaurants and a supermarket in walking distance to...

This is a small, one-story, exterior door motel which still uses brass keys to get into your room. The room was spacious, had AC and the bed comfortable. We had a fridge and microwave also. The wifi was very strong - yay! They do not serve breakfast here but there are many places around to get coffee or whatever. They...
