Unfortunately this was the only motel/hotel free in the area as we decided to visit Malibu at the last moment. It was almost as expensive as the W Hotel rooms we had just stayed in but for much, much less. It is hot as there is no air conditioning but the giant fan was 'sufficient' for me. I don't sweat...

I stayed here with a friend. We booked 2 nights. We cancelled the second night. We where in the USA for 22 days. This was the worst hotel we have ever seen. For way to much money. Do not go here! Broken window and filthy sheets. It ruined our knight. Malibu ist the place to be. Go to venice or...

As may be expected, in a seaside motel, there was sand grits on the floor. No air conditioning. The bathroom was clean. The bed below most motel standards. We were lucky to find a room there as the only other two motels were filled.

Myself and 3 friends arrived to stay at the Malibu Motel after booking a room through booking.com. Upon arrival, the lady at the reception desk announced that they're fully booked and have no room for us. She said she had spoken to booking.com, had told them to contact us (they hadn't) and that it wasn't her fault. Four hours later,...

This place is great !!! The staff is amazing. Location can't be beat. Very clean. Great beds. Wonder showers. The pool is the best ,you can see the mountains while you swim. The beach is right across the street. The best rooms are on the third and second floors I will be going back soon

Although the room was clean, & pretty decent for the price - i was very disappointed with the pool :( with a LITTLE work & cost, it could have been MUCH better enjoyed. There was ONE lounge chair ... broken. One. & a couple of straight back regular chairs. My girls had to sunbathe laying on the TABLE, b/c there...

There was no ac at the room and you could not have the window open either, because of all the noice from the road. The room was at least clean and it is close to the beach, however it is not worth the price and I will not stay here again.

First, let me say that I'm pretty low maintenance. I was charmed by the friendliness of our reception and the minimalist decor. It's a good place to lay your head while enjoying the area. Great location for convenience - you can walk to the beach, restaurants, and amenity shopping. Cigar store, upscale grocer and liquor store on the same block....

Ok for an overnight, 2 star. We chose this Motel on cost and location because we were only staying one night and arriving late. All accommodation in Malibu is quite expensive because of where it is and now that we've been, we get it. At first we were very happy with the room decor, quite mod, parque flooring, but after...
