I stayed there for one night with my kids (7 and 8). We came there to ski, so it was very handy location, just couple of minutes from the slopes. The hostel is very small, but cozy, clean and the atmosphere was very friendly. There are 3 private rooms separated from the dorms and we booked all the 3 rooms...

Great place to stay if you wish to stay away from people in Canmore or even Banff, or don't want to pay top dollar for the fancy Kananaskis hotel. I wouldn't even call this a wilderness hostel - it has all the amenities (electricity, full kitchen, heating, hot showers, running water, flush toilets). Only thing missing wif-fi. But there is...

Pretty fabulous for a hostel. Right by Kananaskis Village. We stayed here the night before a long hike/run on the Northover Ridge Loop. Late July is the off-season for this hostel, so it was pretty quiet with a few friendly guests. The manager Francois is the perfect hostel host: cheery, friendly and welcoming. The other guests are likeminded outdoors enthusiasts...

This place is outsider the major centres of Banff and Lake Louise and is a good alternative in order to keep your money in your pocket. They have three private rooms for those who enjoys some privacy. Even if it is a shared bathroom, it is shared only by the three rooms, other bathrooms are availaible for the people in...

Had a great stay at HI Kananaskis. Anita is so friendly an helpful to her guests. It's a good place for a wilderness hostel, in the middle of the woods but close to the villige. If I plan my next Canada trip I will stay at the HI Kannanaskis Wilderness Hostel

I spent 2 nights at the HI Kananaskis. I don't stay in hostels often, so don't have a great comparison, but this place was great. It is inexpensive; our group used the dorms and there is one for men, one for women. They have a couple of private rooms as well. The kitchen area and common areas were large and...

I stayed two nights at HI Kananaskis. It is so nice an quiet there. If you need a brake from Job you have to spend a few days in HI Kananaskis. No TV, no WIFI, in the middle of wilderness, just right for a brake. The Manager is so verry helpful an friendli, it feels lile family if you stay...

Kananaskis is a must visit location when visiting the Canadian Rockies and this hostel should be added to the list of places to stay. With electricity and hot water, it is a luxury wilderness hostel but a great place for a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of modern life and with great proximity to Nakiska ski hills and...

My husband and I stayed at the Kananaskis hostel in July, so I expected crowds and some considerable noise. It was not at all like that! The hostel was blissfully quiet and peaceful, and it was sparkling clean. Our private room was small but clean throughout. The kitchen, bathroom, and our room were all spotless. The host, Shauna, takes obvious...
