This place has gone down hill over the past 5 years. The location is great for LA, but the noise, staff and weed smoke has left it sleepless. The rooms need a paint makeover, and the beds redone. You can easily stay here and have it make or break your trip. The valet service is usually pretty good and keeps your car safe, but I think it's a separate company. They will charge you not only for the valet, but also you'll tip each time you come and go. I've stayed here about 5-7 times but this will be my last.
It’s my second stay at the Century Park Hotel. I un the Lis Angeles Marathon annually and the finish line is walking distance away. Also it walking distance from the shuttle to the starting line. Very very convenient. And the price is the best around. To make things even better if your trying to save a little money there’s a grocery store across the street and with the fridge and microwave in the room to can stock up on snacks. The staff is very friendly and accommodating from the check-in staff to the valet staff. I’ll be staying here again and I recommend you do as well.
For an overnight business travel in LA, the Century is a smart choice. Location is good and the facility( room and amenities ) are upgraded. Reception area is a bit small but the staff service is good. Parking with valet service is a good add on.
They will give you a room on the most NOISY side of the street,is unbelievable with all thy already charge can’t upgrade their windows to offer ALL their guest a quiet sleep Instead they will charge you extra to change it into the other side of the building We originally booked a two queen room We ended up in the “loft”one queen bed to get little less noisy… We ended up paying $300 this loft carpet was dirty Dusty, the curtain and shades are worm eaten.. The couch was so nasty that we requested a blanket to cover it but they gave us a revolting piece of thing I wouldn’t even give to my dogs I asked for a clean one they told me they were all like that OFFENSIVE TREATMENT,I wouldn’t Even offer that piece of garbage to an homeless I have more respect for them All stuff is careless especially night shift They barely greet Don’t waste your money The Disgusting blanket was put back in a plastic bag collected off the floor I dropped ……
Make sure you request Housekeeping if you are staying more than one night. While the rooms are updated, there was no TV remote control or extra blankets. The ironing board attached inside of a drawer, making in awkward to iron. The lobby appears to be under some sort of construction or need of construction. Not sure which.
The rate of the hotel is reasonable and it's location is ideal since it's near Century City. Their ADA rooms are a little small but cute. Lots of natural light in the rooms. Professional front desk. Good coffee in the rooms.
Our room was on the second floor toward the back so was very quiet. The room was as described. The beds were very comfortable the shower nice and hot the room was clean Rated this a four instead of a five because they did not offer any breakfast not even a continental breakfast which is what we're used to at hotels! TripAdvisor listed this as having breakfast and it does not. Also have to pay $30 for valet only parking.
Similar experience as what is already stated (loud noise, room not looking as shown in advertisement, no housekeeping, and my room even had stairs right when you walked in, which was a big inconvenience in having to bring in the luggages), but their price is lower than other hotels in the expensive area, so take it for what it is. Overall clean, but that's it. For longer stays, I would definitely consider the Marriott across the street.
A asked about house keeping and they said covid restrictions didn't allow them to just clean rooms? October 2022? I was never told that there was a special request for house keeping. It was really strange, no apology just excuses and it being my fault.
Couch did not pull out, there was no fireplace under TV like shown. staircase bannister as carpeted stairs were covered in a sticky substance. unit could be far cleaner. ghetto paper taped sign asking to not open windows. unit was not cleaned in between nights even though I had the light for service on, and was gone 14 hours that day, giving adequate time for cleaning. Took a hour to call down for towels that were not replenished as room not cleaned.
