We stayed 4 nights and were very happy with our stay. - 20 walk straight walk down Washington Blvd to the beach. We walked that a couple of late nights and felt safe - comfy bed and soft linens - extra roomy floor space with the sitting area and couch - appears to have had a recent update throughout -$20 a night for parking was worth it for ease of parking with lots of room
Stayed at The Kinney for 4 nights and would have stayed longer if it wasn't booked out! The staff are incredible, super friendly and can't do enough to help you out. The hotel is great - lovely, good sized rooms, clean, but also fun and full of character. The decor is unique - a pop art vibe, quirky, which was a great relief after staying in lots of characterless/formulaic places. There's a communal area with a small pool, jacuzzi, table tennis, seating, a bar etc which is well used and makes it feel like a bit of a community. My room was very quiet, I suspect the rooms around the communal courtyard are a little noisier so might be worth checking that when booking, if it's an issue for you. Location worked really well for me, I was very happy to walk to the beach (around 15 mins). Currently no breakfast (Covid), just to be aware.…
Love this hotel! Staff was great! Decor was very unique. The patio and pool area on the second floor was really nice. Beds were comfortable and the room was perfect. Really glad we stayed here. It’s an easy walking distance to the canals and the beach.
I fell in love and can’t stop thinking about this place. As soon as I saw the neon signs in the pictures I couldn’t hit book fast enough. I feel as if I have stumbled upon a goldmine. This place is ADORABLE. It is CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. The staff are AMAZING. They are kind, they are accommodating. The decor is indescribable. The pool area and fire pit area are a serious vibe. The parking is free, safe, and easy to access! The beds and pillows were the most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in and I am a frequent traveler. I cannot wait to come back here. Awesome location. Close to everything. I honestly cannot say enough good things! They earned a customer for life.
Super cute/cool vibes. The decor was so much fun, lots of pop art and neon signs. Location was great, 10-15min walk to Abbott Kinney, cool shopping/food. Still need to drive or bike to the Venice boardwalk. Room was spacious and clean, bed super comfy. Price a little high, but we didn’t regret our one night stay. Would stay again!
Lovely stay in Venice, we are regular visitors and would definitely return to the Kinney. Sitting at the far end of the Abbott Kinney district the hotel is just a moderate walk away from everything cool and sophisticated. Clean room, very friendly and welcoming staff and good amenities, not a five star experience at all but just perfect for us and as expected
I needed a hotel for one night before I flew home, this one was also near the car rental place where I needed to take my car back too. Venice is an expensive place to stay, especially for somewhere with car parking (even thought they do charge for that), and this hotel was very modern and quite a "fun" place, my room was nice and I had upgraded, thought I'm not really sure what the differences were between the original room and the one I ended up with. There is a small pool and hot tub and a seating area which I guess get pretty busy, it would also presumably make the rooms around the "quad" noisy... There was no breakfast on offer due to covid, but this was not mentioned when I booked. The members of staff that I interacted with were very helpful, getting me a cab etc. There is nothing bad to say about this place, I just feel I paid too much to stay here compared to other places I have stayed in a 5 week visit to the States.…
What a pleasant surprise! Best Hotwire find ever! This is the cutest most comfortable room I have stayed at in a long time. I’m used to timeshares so it’s usually hard for a hotel to keep up but this one sure does that and more! We will be back soon! . #startingthenewyearright #amazinghotelfind #loveartdeco
This is a great, well-located hotel. We rated while visiting our daughter for a long weekend, and we had a very comfortable, enjoyable stay. PROS- Really appreciated that it was walking distance to restaurants, beach, Marina, and shopping— LOVE ABBOTT KINNEY ST! (Great shops and restaurants, a great California vibe vs another mall experience). Helped to avoid excess Uber/traffic etc. The front desk was super helpful and available 24/7, which we have not always found in other post-Covid stays. The hot tub and pool area was also a fun amenity to have onsite, and useable even when it was 55°! Room was very spacious, the suite gave us plenty of room and loved the quirky California-Venice style. CONS- The room was clean, however a distinct musty smell— it smelled a bit like a pool, but being near the ocean I am sure it can be hard to keep the humidity out. The carpet squares were kind of uneven and bumpy, and peeling up. Water pressure was low, and not a lot of mirror space. Overall, my first impression of the hotel was not great given the smell and disrepair…. but the hotel grew on me!We came to really appreciate the location and space, especially for such a great price!! I don’t think you can beat it in Venice, but depending on what you are looking for, you may want to consider neighboring Santa Monica or Marina Del Rey if you want something a little more upscale.…
The worst hotel experience I have ever had. The keys didnt work. We asked doe a crib and it was broken and had strawberries in it! Dirty room and smelled bad. Then we called the desk for another crib and it was also broken, and we called the desk again and they hung up! His name was Alex. NEVER AGAIN. AWFUL hotel.
