At the Hilton Los Angeles Airport, many guests admire the blend of elegance and nostalgia in the hotel's atmosphere, though some areas are seen as needing an update. The rooms often come under scrutiny for appearing outdated and not entirely clean, with a lack of modern amenities like USB ports. While the hotel’s amenities, including the airport shuttle and dining options, receive commendations, travelers sometimes find the value lacking due to high prices and underwhelming room quality. Service at the Hilton LAX is frequently highlighted as attentive and professional, and the location is prized for its convenience to the airport. However, guest experiences with noise vary, with some finding it disruptive and others enjoying a peaceful stay. Cleanliness is generally well-regarded, especially the comfortable beds, despite occasional inconsistencies.

Pros:
Excellent con room rate plus free parking as we did enough panels each day.
Staff very friendly and quick to fix things.
Quad access from the 3rd floor room was a nice addition to space. The room safe was a good size.
Air controls for the room were set perfectly. The constant air cycling through the bathroom eliminated moisture and odors without a noisy exhaust fan.
Sheets and comforters passed the UV light test. The magnifying mirror was amazing; need one for home. We loved the leaf-themed art.
Tasteful and cheery holiday decorations. Many comfy spots to hang out. Plentiful public restrooms on the con floor.
24-hour Bistro variety and microwaves saved us.

Cons, so to type:
No fridge nor microwave and not emphasized at booking that those were no longer amenities. We had brought Thanksgiving food and had to use the Bistro.
Housekeeping arrived before 9am (and didn’t announce themselves so it was rapid knocking that startled us), then forgot us the next day. Not everyone, esp. con-goers, is out the door first thing.
In a room with two beds, leave at least two servings of coffee.
Dead-ends in the parking garage.
Noisy plumbing and doors.
Point out $100 per day deposit; had to call customer service to confirm final billing with refund. Invoice only listed actual cost while credit card had been charged at check-in with the deposit.

The Hilton Honors app gave me a digital key which meant I didn't have to go through a physical check in and went straight to my room on arrival. I am Gold Elite with Hilton Honors loyalty programme, and having just stayed in 6 airport hotels on 6 consecutive nights through Europe and Asia, the Hilton LAX was an utter disappointment. The foyer areas had the "wow" factor, the airport shuttle service was great, but the room was well below the standard I expect from Hilton. The word I'd use is "basic", the most appropriate phrase "tired decor with an awful bathroom". The sound proofing was non existent with aircraft noise more than just audible. The most noticeable thing was it felt Hilton had gone cheap! No notepad, pen, or bathroom amenities in sight. The bath-tub had been painted and the paint was peeling off in several places. Minimal provision of in-room tea and coffee facilities and an excessive service charge add-on for room service. No offer or provision of an upgraded room - apparently a perk of Hilton Gold-Elite status, and I had to physically go to the reception desk for my $18 Hilton honors breakfast credit to be added to my account. All in all a very basic, unremarkable experience made worse by a dripping bathroom fawcett which was enough to keep me awake. The Hotel's let downs outweighed its positives - all of which were largely down to its location and its shuttle service and proximity to LAX.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your recent stay with us. We’re pleased that the digital key feature, shuttle service, and location added some convenience to your visit. However, we’re deeply sorry to hear that your experience did not align with the high standards we aim to provide, especially as a Hilton Honors Gold member. The concerns you’ve raised about the room condition, soundproofing, and in-room amenities are important and will be reviewed thoroughly. We strive to deliver more than just a "basic" experience, and it’s clear we fell short in this instance. Your comments about the bathroom decor and the inconvenience with breakfast credit have been noted, and we will work on addressing these issues with our team. We’re also disappointed to hear that an upgrade was not offered during your stay. While complimentary upgrades are subject to availability, this is a benefit we endeavor to provide whenever possible. Your candid feedback is invaluable as we look to improve. Should you choose to stay with us again, we would welcome the opportunity to provide the quality and comfort you rightfully expect. Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention.

Yes it was close and I did see a plane landing from my sixth floor window… but on the way there in the free shuttle( very comfy) i saw about ten other hotels which were closer to the airport
Nevermind. Could not get the app privided digital room key to work. The checkin was pretty speedy with my room key being provided and extra $100 deducted from my credit card for my ‘day use’ room on the sixth floor. It was close to the elevator and already nice and cool when I walked in. Everything clean and tidy. Had a bit of trouble turning on the bath water and getting the tv stations on the tv - which seemed to want me instead to rent a latest release movie for $19.99!
A call to Housekeeping helped me sort everything out.
Plenty of towels, pillows and eco friendly quality soaps. I had a good sleep on the king bed.
Dropped off my key in a drop box to check out and was emailed the receipt
Just me and the driver in the shuttle back to the airport
Would try another hotel with an actual lobby Starbucks ( instead of ‘we serve Starbucks coffee in our cafe’) next time! Overpriced Smartwater( $10+) also sold there

We were coming off a 25 day holiday in Asia and needed a hotel for the night. We are Hilton Honors members and the choice was easy. The hotel has a very convenient complementary shuttle that picks up regularly from the airport. After a long day, this was a very nice convenience.

We arrived at 11pm and were hungry and luckily the lobby has a 24 hour bistro. This consists of premade salads and sandwiches. We ordered 2 burgers.

The hotel staff ensured we had a quiet room location given our request. We also received foam pillows per request.

The room is average but the bed is very comfortable and we slept well.

For breakfast, they offer a buffet but we had the salmon bento and the eggs Benedict which were great.

I am mostly leaving this review because of the impressive customer service. With a large chain like Hilton, in a 1200 room hotel, we didn’t expect to be noticed. During breakfast, our waitress Raquel was so attentive and her warm smiles made our morning. She told us how she’s worked here for almost 40 years and you can tell she truly loves her job and the people she gets to meet.

The general manager Jeff also stopped by our table to see how we were doing and to just make conversation about our travels. He gave us advice about the timing of the traffic back to the airport.

When traveling, I can’t say how nice it is to have people around you that are supportive of your needs. Thank you to the Hilton staff for a very warm welcome and comfortable layover.

The reason we chose the Hilton was to save stress and maybe save a buck on parking. We were leaving for a little over two weeks in Europe vacation and we found a deal with Park and Fly to spend one night at the Hilton and bundle the long term parking for the duration of the trip at a reasonable price. The location of this Hilton made the departure morning far less stressful as we took an easy shuttle from the hotel to our terminal. The hotel staff we interacted with was absolutely friendly and warm. There really was no noise from traffic on the road or in the wire. Only criticism was bed comfort but overall this could be our going forward plan. We liked being able to start the vacation on the right foot.

It starts when you pull up to the front, the valet just sends you to the garage if you aren't going to valet the car, no grace for getting the bags out or getting a bellhop to help. The parking garage spots are sold outside of hotel guests so you have to drive to the bottom of the garage to find one of the three spaces that were left.

The room shows that the staff does not care one bit, when the room was serviced, no extra towels were left, no wash cloths and they only picked up the used towels from the floor and left the wash cloth that I'd used in the tub as they likely did not even look at it. The tub is stained and chipped, the sealant on the surround is either cracked or mildewed. The shower, and the sprinkler heads are not installed properly. There is mildew and wet spots on the ceiling, there are other stains on the wall, torn wallpaper, chipped frames, filthy and cracked light switches. The floor in the bathroom is cracked. You can take the shower faucet off as it's not connected and you have to remove it because it's too heavy and the water temp changes as it drifts.

There are zero usb ports in the room.

This is an older property whose rooms really need updating. There are no electrical sockets near the beds, nor even charging ports. Since there are also no clocks near the beds, either, it would certainly have been nice to at least charge my iPhone by the bed so that I wouldn't have to get up out of bed each time I wanted to check the time. Additionally, I personally use a CPAP machine to breathe at night, so I really do need an electrical socket within a reasonable distance of the bed.
I called the service number at 9:40 PM to request an extension cord, which they said they'd send up. When it hadn't been delivered by 10: 30, I called again to get a status on the request, and was told it was "on its way." Well, it was not. I had to meet someone at the bar at 11 PM, and stopped at the front desk to let them know the cord hadn't been delivered. I was told that this time, they really would send someone up, but that I couldn't meet anyone at the bar, because they wouldn't deliver the cord unless I was personally there to receive it. No way, no how would they just leave it in the room.
Issues such as no sockets near the beds and noisy rooms would, of course, require remodeling. However, no one likes being lied to.
In addition, anyone off the street can just saunter into any elevator and go to any floor, which might be a security concern for some. There was an elderly "security guard," but he spent his time playing with his cell phone rather than attending to his job. The next day, when asked about my opinion of the property by text, I gave 2/5, and was told I was going to be contacted. Of course, no one did, and this is a week later.

Dear lebelgo, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you encountered during your stay, particularly with the delay in receiving the extension cord and the frustration it caused. This is certainly not the level of service we strive to provide, and we regret any miscommunication regarding the delivery process. We do have several outlets in each room, including two near the bed and additional outlets on the lamps on the nightstand. However, we understand that accessibility can vary depending on specific needs, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Your feedback is valuable as we plan for upcoming renovations, and we will take it into account as we work to enhance the guest experience. Regarding your concerns about security, we take guest safety very seriously and have measures in place, including security personnel monitoring the property. However, we will follow up internally to ensure our team remains attentive at all times. We also regret that you did not receive a follow-up after your initial rating. We truly appreciate your candid feedback, and we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your experience further. Please feel free to reach out to us directly at 310-410-4000. We hope to have the chance to provide you with a more seamless stay in the future. Best regards,

The hotel is very presentable and clean and offers free airport shuttles which is highly convenient. The only detraction was not having the room we booked 5 months prior available, however this was mitigated by providing us a better room for our one night stay and vouchers for the on site eateries. Sadly these eateries are overpriced if you were to be using your own funds so we were grateful to have the vouchers. Overall it’s a nice hotel for airport needs.

This is the third or 4th time I have stayed here, over the course of at least 15 years. It will remain my first choice for an airport hotel.
Some good things we observed from the beginning:
Comfy rooms with climate control that works
An app to check in and avoid the front desk
Reasonable ($20) parking rates
Spanking clean lobby, rooms, and other spaces
The coolest elevator system I have ever seen. Plug in the requested floor and it tells you which elevator to get into. It must be the most efficient system anywhere.
As with most Hiltons, the staff are friendly and helpful.
Something new:
The restaurant was closed, so two if us decided to share a pizza at the bistro. This pizza is really good. Thin soft crust, nice stringy cheese, a good slop of olive oil, fresh vegetables on top and quality meats. The other good thing we noticed about the restaurant is that it is open 24 hours - a good feature of an airport hotel.

Used on tour in June 2024. Because of the transit, it was a half-day trip from early afternoon to night, but I was particularly comfortable without inconvenience.
My room was on the 7th floor, but the free wifi in the lobby came in without any problems and I was able to access the internet comfortably.
The lobby is large and there are many sofas, so I think it would be sufficient to do a little communication in the lobby.
The room has two large menelaru waters. There are also free coffee beans and hot water can be made.
There is a fast food restaurant nearby (although it takes five minutes on foot), but there are few people walking around, so I'm a little worried about safety. If you are not used to it, it is recommended to eat in the hotel with a high price or buy expensive sandwiches at the hotel shop, but you can also consider bringing snacks from Japan to eat in your room.
