Stayed here after getting a great on line deal for a 2 night stay. There is a certain "groovy" 80s factor, but it is a full-service and then some hotel. Plenty of food options, a nice bar in the center. The beds are the super-comfy Westin signature Heavenly Bed. Walking distance to the Metro station and close to Staples Center/LA...

I work nearby, and we have begun using the Westin Bonaventure for our events. My last review last year, was fair as they needed to remodel and have consistent customer service. I hosted a recent event for our company for approximately 500 people with about 160 people needing a hotel room. Wow - I am a critic when it comes...

The hotel is a bit dated with its concrete lobby architecture, but for me it was part of the fun of the place. The rooms are quite up-to-date and very nice. Service was very good. I enjoyed the whole five circular column thing and futuristic elevator. I would stay here again.

Very nice hotel, but the elevators can become impossible during a conference. This hotel has MANY restaurants and shops. The lobby bar is nice, but expensive +$8 for a beer. We had a king-size room with many pillows on the bed. Coffee maker and fridge in the room so you can buy your own beer/wine and have it in the...

Overall it's a good business hotel. Nice and very comfortable king-size bed. I like the toiletries that they provided and spacious washroom with bathtub..location is okay, not that far from the subway station (2,3 blocks away) since i was staying here for a really short 2-days trip. However there's NO free wifi , you have to go to the lobby...

I stayed in the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown LA for a conference earlier this month for 8 nights and was pleasantly surprised by my stay. As it was where the conference was held, I stayed there for convenience sake but ended up really liking my stay. The hotel is massive, with 4 towers and several levels of shopping below....

Staying at the Westin Bonaventure was a real treat. The rooms are large and very comfortable; I had a great view of the Hollywood sign from my desk; and the hotel is very clean. I slept wonderfully. One of the highlights is riding in the elevators. I know that sounds lame but they are mounted on the outside of the...

I don't get to Los Angeles often and am usually on business in the San Francisco area. I had a conference to go to in downtown Los Angeles and all I remembered years ago was a dismal skid row feel. Well! No more! Downtown has been transformed into a vibrant glass and steel center with great hotels and some very...

I spent a week here for a conference recently. The architecture and design of the building is a bit odd and difficult to navigate at times. The highlight of the week was the service me and a fellow guest received from the staff. Particularly, I would like to give special thanks to Keith, who was working the front desk when...

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 20 years. This time was by far the worst experience I have had at this hotel. Below are my top 3 reasons why I won't be staying at this hotel again: 1) 15 minute wait to check in (unacceptable) 2) I stayed there overnight after a concert and unfortunately,...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
