Miguel at the front desk greeted me upon arrival and made sure I got a high floor room--early check in (was charged 145) king room Great location! Located conveniently within The BLOC shopping center but the minute you step outside of that area, it's every man/woman for herself/himself. One day I needed to run to Walgreens literally just right across the street and I had to run past two homeless men fist fighting then I got into Walgreens and this woman was caught stealing, was cursing at the security guard then came back and threw a soda at the walgreens store so they had to clean it up. It is ghetto outside but the hotel itself is wonderful so long as you don't leave to go outside. Tried out Joey's DTLA right outside on my last night, had a great experience overall. The hotel is clean and quiet and the gym views of LA are wonderful. I would definitely stay here again!…
Beautiful hotel located near a lot of good restaurants! The room was clean when we arrived and was cleaned everyday we were there. I do wish there was a mini fridge in the room. My kids approved and I would absolutely stay there again in the future!
I’m a big app user for Marriott and I love staying with Marriott. This stay was excellent couldn’t been better! First of all I was able to check in early days prior to my reservation and was alerted as well once I landed LAX. Once I arrived to the hotel, it was very neat, clean and everyone was greeting me once I arrived. Francisco at the bell desk was very helpful helping my family and I work the elevator. He was also very friendly and helped us bring our luggage to our room. Upon check in a lady name Lynda H. And Monica where super helpful and friendly upon check in. Lynda was very helpful on recommendation for parking around the hotel, and we just rather valet it with them. Lynda was very helpful that she was able to get my family member across my room who was checking in the next day. I was not expecting this at all because I know how hard it is to get rooms close to each other but she made a way and it made the stay even better! I didn’t have to travel down hall or even different floors. Thank you to Lynda H., Monica, and Francisco for making our stay amazing. Amazing enough my wife and I are coming back in July! We love traveling to LA, and Sheraton might be our go to stay forsure!…
I've stayed at the Sheraton Grand Los Angeles a few time prior to this latest visit. I've always been very happy with my guest room and with the level of service from every staff member I've encountered. This last stay was a great disappointment. We were assigned to room 720. Upon check in we noticed the desk chair was missing. Later that evening we noticed that the desk lamp was also missing. I called guest services and the items were delivered to the room. At check in I was asked if I wanted the room to be serviced -- I'm pretty certain I said yes. The next day when I arrived back at the hotel in the late afternoon I found the room had not been serviced. I contacted the front desk and was told the agent had indicated "Refused Service" and the housekeepers had gone for the day. I ended up simply asking for clean towels and glasses. Overall, the attention to detail seems to have declined since my last stay in Dec. 2021. I know we are still in challenging times, but in my opinion, these are basic issues that should not have occurred. In the past I've told people about my positive experience staying at the Sheraton, but I'm not sure if this will continue to be my go-to hotel in DTLA.…
Was in town for our daughter's last (hopefully) graduation from USC. We usually stay at the various Marriott's near LA live, but the prices were thru the roof, so we gave the Sheraton Grand a try. Our daughter lives 10 minutes away, so we didnt have to park a car...that saved us 50$ a night...valet parking by the way 4$ every 10 minutes, so come on Uber/Lyft. My wife is Titanium lifetime elite with Marriott Bonvoy, so that got us a nice upgrade to a suite, so our son had his own room/bathroom, plus the nice lounge area we put to good use for inroom dining, and grad prep dressing. While the Marriott's were in the 4-500$ range, we were able to book 3 rooms for less than 300 (250-275) a nite, which really isn't bad for downtown LA..the front desk folks were friendly/plentiful, our keys kept dropping dead and had to be replaced three times...now on the subject of keys, it an weird system to get to your room you must ID yourself and your room number electronically at the base of the elevators each/ever time, takes a little to get used too, but given the area the hotel is in, security is critical. We loved having access to the conc lounge on the 26th floor for bfast, snacks, extra water, but closed sat/most of sunday, they send you to the District (a restaurant in basement) but you got to make reservations even while staying in the hotel, we found the staff uncooperative, and didn't care either way if you were hotel guest or not, so we skipped our meals there and went to starbucks...the hotel has back entrance to the BLOC which has stores/restaurants aplenty so you really dont have to drive or leave the hotel, Be wary of walking any distance from the hotel footprint as the area around it is really sketchy.…
The lobby was beautiul, the baggage team was very helpful, the front desk was courteous (thank you, Christina), the elevator system worked fast, the room was clean and the beds comfortable, and the breakfast and service in the Platinum Lounge was perfect (thank you, Lupe)! I could not have asked for a better stay at this price and in this location! 5 out of 5!
Arena is such a sweetheart. We came to LA for a photo shoot and didn’t want to leave. We are local-ish, but the Sheraton and Arena helped us to have a vacation from the Santa Monica area while in town. I would wholeheartedly recommend this stay to a friend.
Check in was smooth, was allowed to leave my so I didn’t have to take it to a meeting since I arrive very early. The rooms are great, I was upgraded to a deluxe king, which I am guessing is just on a higher floor. The room was clean and well appointed. Free water was available as was a fridge for your own use. The TV was a nice size, and you could log in with your Netflix/YouTube accounts and watch your own content. When I checked in - I was asked if I wanted housekeeping to service my room for the duration of the stay, and I responded with a “yes please,” as I usually need towels, and the bed requires a PHD to make right (trust me , I tried). Day 1 I did not get any service, which is fine, I just politely asked for service at the desk to ensure I had towels for the day, as they only stock two towels per day. Day 2 was fine. Day 3 I had a notification that I was exposed to COVID (though continued to test negative). So I asked the front desk to just have housekeeping leave two sets of towels out side my door and I would manage the remainder. Day 3 came and went - and no towels were ever delivered. I was able to make due, since I didn’t go into the office that day. All in all, the service was middle of the road at best - just didn’t seem to be any customer service except for the “yes sir” at the front desk. Outside of that, as the week went on - the quality of goods went down hill. The water glasses went from glass to the flimsy plastic cups. The towels were certainly downgraded and were more akin to a motel towel - a bit small and on the thin side. I realize some of this may be linked to COVID, but it still worth mentioning. They had a QR on the credenza which advertised “In room delivery” from 7am to 10pm. Don’t bother scanning it, the website is down and I was told at the front desk they discontinued any service to the room. So either there was a miscommunication - or that had been in that spot since before this round of the pandemic. All in all, I will stay here - the location can’t be beat (right on the 7th Metro stop, but be aware that the metro station in the Bloc proper closes around 7pm, you’ll need to cross the street). There are some great food options around here - and their own restaurant “The District” is decent for a hotel restaurant. It’s convenient to work. I will chalk this experience up to them being busier than usual and COVID. I’ll be back in July 2022 and will update my review as appropriate.…
Staff here are great. It’s always good when the welcome and check in are such a positive experience. We very much enjoyed our stay. Room was large and well equipped. The restaurant was relaxed and we enjoyed the food. Easy to walk to the museums we were there to visit.
We checked in a littler earlier than usual because we caught an earlier flight in. Miguel at the front desk was more than helpful to accommodate us and help us out. The rooms are very nice and everyone was very friendly. We definitely recommend this place.
