The front desk was a horrible experience due to an issue that was out of my control. They stated that my credit card on file had declined so they released my room 3 hours before I arrived. I called my bank as well as Expedia and they both reported that no transaction had been attempted on the card used to book the hotel and the card information provided was entered correctly. The front desk was belittling and didn’t try to rectify the situation and ultimately after being rearranged, put in a room that couldn’t accommodate my party, and meeting with the Manager, whom they said wouldn’t arrive until the PM, they put me into the room that I had originally been promised just the night before when calling in to add an extra night to my stay. I in the end also paid for my stay with the same card that they said was previously declined. As someone who often goes and stays in LA for both pleasure and business, I love this hotel, it’s amenities and location. However, the treatment I had received did not reflect any sort of hospitality or professionalism. Although, the manager did eventually move me to a suite that all of the sudden became available, contrary to what front desk told me, our conversation when he called into our room to “fix” the situation left me with very little room to talk or vent. He cut me off and said they he would accommodate me and showed me a room 3 doors next to mine. All and all, I have never had a negative experience with this hotel up until now.…
Some parts of my poor experience with this hotel may be due to the local event in town and is not representative of the hotel as a whole. I paid $1500-$1600 for my stay in the luxury suite. What I received was extremely mediocre for the price. The hotel ran out of extra blankets and rollaway beds The shower pressure was non existent especially if you changed it to the overhead shower. The in room fridge temperature fluctuated wildly and could barely keep things cold. The room AC kept things cooler. The room wifi was slow. The food at the lounge was alright but there are better places right outside. And last of all, I asked for a glass of water and the lounge staff directly gave me a bottle of water and charged an extra $4 for it. >:(
Shower clogged. Valet lost car keys. Bar closed hours earlier than listed. If i wanted a subpar clean room, mismanaged and disorganized valet, and zero bar i would have just went to a best western. This place charges a mid tier premium price but doesnt live up to that standard at all. This is my second time staying and i will not go back.
Quick valet service, front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Location is walking distance from Microsoft theater, yard house, angel many other eateries. Nixo barista was great. Was great sipping our latte's overlooking downtown.
Pleasantly surprised by this hotel on a one night stay over. Easy to access from the freeway, friendly and helpful staff. Stayed in the luxury suite which was ample in size, clean and well laid out. Location great for downtown LA, with easy access to Metro (5 minute walk) for travel to Hollywood etc. if any downside, there was no creamer/milk included with the self serve drinks in the room, but this can easily be forgiven.
Perfect location for Los Angeles visitors. Close to major freeways and across the street from LA Live! I hosted an event at the Nixo Patio Lounge and it was perfect. Intimate with the allure of Downtown nightlife
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Clean, spacious and friendly service. My wife and I attended a concert at the Microsoft theater right across the street. Walked to restaurants and clubs. No need to use my car. Some people say its noisy, we where on 6th floor facing East away from front of hotel and night club, it was pleasant and quiet
Take your money somewhere else! We found nasty hairs of all types of colors on our beddings and floors. The room was disgusting and staff and management was rude when we address this issue. I took a great amount of pictures as well. Loud music was played throughout the evenings. Patio area was closed no coffee for those who needs it. overall we are turned off and regretted our stay.
Your front desk were very professional and nice. However, your lobby smelled like someone was smoking around. For being a smoke free place it sure didnt smell like it. The citrus water was great! My room was very clean and beds were comfortable. The shower was om. The big shower head was not really strong with the water pressure. There was a clicking noise all night from a gadget that almost looks like smoke alarm plugged into the wall by the chair thats next to one of the queen beds. Did not let me sleep well. Your elevator sign said your bar was open until 1 am on Friday and they closed at 12pm. We ordered deliciously made drinks around 11:30 pm and were asked if we wanted to keep a tab open and we said yes. 15 min later we went to ask for another drink and they said they couldn't because they were closing soon. I was wondering then why did they end up asking us if we wanted to keep a tab open if they were closing soon? False advertisment on hours. I also did not like that your valet parking is ridiculously over priced. Being 2 women at the hotel we did not feel secure leaving our car parked at one of those parkings outside the hotel. I do like that you do need a room key card to use the elevators. It made me feel more secure.…
I enjoyed my stay. Great location (easy to walk around downtown). The lady who checked us in was fantastic. Very kind and even provided suggestions for places to eat and gave walking directions. Comfortable stay. Would recommend.
