Hotel said it would cancel my reservation. Afterwards, it charged me and cited a 72 hour cancellation policy, even though I never stayed there. The manager went out of her way to be rude. I will never stay at a Kimpton again.

Hotel's Favourite
The Kimpton Hotel Palomar greatly exceeded my expectations. In coordinating a space for a videography shoot with their Director, Donald Chock, he and the entire staff honored every request and wish, none too big or small. To say they went above and beyond is not enough. As an overnight guest, the high service continued. The team at their bar/restaurant 'Double Take' dazzled us with their smiles, service, and mixology. Given that the hospitality industry is short staffed overall, and we are opening up from a pandemic, the Kimpton Hotel Palomar did not miss a beat. If you are looking to stay in the Beverly Hills/Los Angeles area, this is a WIN WIN!

We love the Kimpton brand of hotels. This started out wonderfully with a nice room and great location. It went downhill quickly with no water pressure Sunday morning and then again on Monday when we were leaving for a 7 hour drive. Maddening development. After speaking to the front desk and in communication with the managers I was disappointed in how they dealt with this issue. It was great to have some things removed but in reality how could those things make up for not having a shower in the morning. I was hoping to have this solved without a review of a property that I like but did not happen. I will not return to that hotel and already have had 2 friends change their reservations. All of this could have been avoided if they told us ahead of the pressure problem and answered my email message from two days ago. Very disappointing.

Dear 523barbarf, We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. I am very sorry for your negative experience. I completely agree with you and wish we would have made it right for you while you were still staying with us. I do know the team removed 25% off two nights, they also removed our Guest Amenity Fee from your stay and restaurant charges, in hopes they can turn your experience into something positive. I do want to also let you know we are making changes to ensure our water pressure is monitored regularly to avoid issues like the one you endured. It would be wonderful to speak with you more regarding what we could have done better to make it right for you. I hope to hear back from you in the not too distant future.

Great hotel, great location. I was able to walk to rodeo drive. The coast was only a 20 min drive. The happy hour was such a great addition, and the bars game room was a nice touch too. The truffle fries at the bar were really good. Room was clean, up to date. Would stay here again!

This hotel is a really nice combination of style size location price and comfort. The lobby is stylish and pretty with an easy pull off area to get out of your Uber without traffic. The people who you meet and deal with at the hotel are all friendly and helpful and easy to get answers. The room is nicely decorated with some seasonal touches for fashion, the views are just OK but you're in Beverly Hills and you are looking out over Beverly Hills house tops so don't expect a spectacular. The room size is large upgraded to a superior or or Deluxe not sure shower bathroom is comfortable the bed was great as were the amenities overall. Well priced great location hotel that's quiet with nice people.

This hotel was a transactional stay for me. It was a place to stay for one night after I landed from a flight. That said, the person at the front desk, Jennifer, was very helpful during check in and even sent a coffee machine up to my room right away when I asked at check in (bonus points for how quickly she got this handled). They have a strange thing where they charge a resort fee of about $35 of which $15 can be used for a little mini sundry shop at the front desk and/or cover parking. The room was average and was noisy (being right in Wilshire Blvd). It is a bit of a strange location unless you are there for business or to be near UCLA. Overall, the hotel was fine (a little better than I expected), though I wouldn’t rush to stay here again unless I had a meeting in the area.

Excellent rooms and amenities, and extremely responsive service in very good location. Priced to match. Short uber ride to many restaurants and Getty Museum. Hotel's $26 per night per room package fee is excessive and grab and go breakfast items are very limited. Parking fee is very high. Still, a good choice for the West LA-UCLA area.

This hotel is in a good central location for access to most areas. Close to 405 situated on wilshire blvd in Westwood. It’s within walking distance to Westwood village. They have self parking. We rented a car. It’s 15 to 25 min to the airport. The room is adequate. Nothing spectacular. Small bathroom. Very good shower pressure. Bed is comfortable. HVAC is loud. Restaurant open. We didn’t eat there. Vax required for dining and drinks at the bar. Wine is offered at 5-6 pm. My only gripe is they offered the same wines every night no changes. The gym is good they have. Peloton. Vax required. Nice lobby. Free coffee in the mornings. Friendly staff. Lobby has essential goods and alcohol for sale. Just v expensive.

Got a credit to use at the restaurant which was closed during my stay. Not sure of the point of that. The room was fine. For an IHG Platinum member, it wasn't great. Decent view. But i was there for less than 10 hours and 3 of those were outside of the hotel, 6 were sleeping. The design was good. The drop off and valet parking was confusing and not nearly large enough. The valet gentlemen were very pleasant and again stars of the show along with the front desk both at check in and check out. Better options for that food and beverage credit are needed.

I am a fan of the Kimpton Brand and choose this hotel for that reason, hoping for the wonderful service, playful sometimes quirky style, and comfortable stay. And it was not awful just not up to visits at other Kimpton properties. First off, the restaurant was closed the day we arrived, tired and hungry. The complimentary happy hour was just that 5-6 pm, leaving me to purchase some very expensive canned cocktails and snacks from the bodega while we tried to work out what to do for dinner. A suggestion from the desk was to try Westwood Village - a 10 minute walk. After 20 minutes walking we didn't find anything open that interested us so we returned and tried Door Dash. We were were shorted one dinner so not enough food to go around. So what else was missing at the Palomar - in room coffee or tea. Had to schlep down to the lobby for a cup of tea and wait for the kettle to boil. All in all, not horrible just I've had better. Kudos to our car valet who helped us load the SUV and got me a lid for my tea.
