The room was ok. The Lobby looks like an old abandoned warehouse due to the renovations going on, but the worst thing is the poor capacity and attention from the staff. I had several issues with my payment during check-out and in getting my invoice with the correct contact information. During check-in the front desk employee told me straightforward "we...

Dear Rodrigo, Thank you for taking your time leaving your feedback. It looks like it has been some time since your stay with us, and we have implemented a couple of changes regarding handling invoicing. We also apologized that our lobby wasn't as nice as you've expected. We have since then put some artworks and modern furniture in our lobby;...

I understand "pardon our dust" but come on! 15 floors and 1 elevator which u have to share with the staff. Took 10 minutes to get from floor 8 to lobby...unacceptable. Staff super nice and hotel clean but clearly should be shut down during construction. Not to mention the area in the dark is super duper scary and mentally unstable....

Dear Beth M, First off; thanks for taking time out of your day to give us some notes. I did want to apologize about the issues with the elevator during your stay. Those have been addressed but I know that doesn't make up for your time here. Being open during a renovation is difficult at times; but we're so excited...

The Hotel is Under construction, but we were just looking for reasonable a place to sleep as we were in town for the Cubs Dodgers series. This property is priced right and is a No Frills set up. The Hotel is under construction or reconstruction and out side of our Hotel room there were NO Amenities, we knew exactly what...

Hotel was under renovation but other than the lobby being less fancy this did not cause a disruption and service was generally good. At 9pm I could not figure out how to turn down AC in my room so they sent up a technician on duty. I had to check out early but gave them 48 hours notice and they...

Very handy to down town, location heading towards down town good and safe, didn't walk too far the other way as a bit seedy. Felt safe walking back from town at midnight. Rooms and wifi great, service excellent. Showers only warm in the mornings was the only negative. I would not hesitate to stay here if ever we are back....

The room phone didn't work, the air conditioner doesn't work, we turned the heat on for a whole day, and the wind was cold. There is no hot water because some parts are broken, we didn't receive any notice and the service of the front desk guy was just as bad as the hotel. He said you can move out...

I stayed in a remodeled room, and the amenities were very nice. I had plenty of space, and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of outlets for all your electronics, which is nice for an older hotel. New fixtures in the bathroom, and a good workspace. The hotel is under renovation, so the lobby area is temporary, and some things were...

Old LA Hotel. Nicely refurbished. Valet parking only, with in-and-out OK, which ads $30 to the room price. Almost a mile walk to nearest Metro station. Hotel is about halfway between MacArthur Park and Downtown, so if you like to walk... or, there is always the bus. Rooms are nice and there are several restaurants nearby. Close to freeway. The place has been recently renovated, the rooms are clean and modern, and probably offer the best value for this part of LA. I saw that the hotel had lots of negative reviews, but I think once you're in a renovated room, it's fine.
