The only good thing I have to say about this hotel is the location. Tv/WiFi didn’t work, broken AC, no battery in the fire alarm, room was dirty previous tenants left items in the drawers and no one noticed, the tub was disgusting, phone was useless cause no one in the office answers when you call and half the buttons were removed. The locks on the door aren’t installed correctly so no added lock available. Thin and I mean thin walls, super noisy all hours of the night, inside the rooms and out. Limited parking. The pictures on this site don’t match the hotel!!! I booked based on the images I could see here but they don’t match!! The address is different too! Look up 6826 sunset blvd that’s the correct hotel/pictures
Room was absolutely filthy. Stains on the towels and walls. Paint was cracked and walls were damaged. Furniture was from the 1970s and the bed felt like it was older than I am. No available outlets in the room so I had to unplug several lights in order to charge my electronics. Bathroom was disgusting and the towels were unwashed, several yellow stains all over them. The "reception" staff was rude and laughed at my last name for no reason at all, pool was locked shut. But the worst part was the paper-thin walls that allowed me to hear literally every single thing that happened in the adjacent rooms and outside. Screaming children, bachelorette parties, couples, everything -- I heard every car horn, all the traffic, every conversation. I barely got any sleep. There's no security either, so I was repeatedly followed into the parking lot and harassed by several homeless people right in the middle of the hotel entrance. My room was also accessed repeatedly despite having a do not disturb sign on my door. This place barely passes for a motel, let alone a hotel. Do NOT go here.…
Did I ever make a mistake! It was close to the concert venue and the price was right, but when I saw my wife's concern when we pulled in, I knew I couldn't argue about staying, even though I had prepaid. Stucco falling off the walls, rotting posts wrapped in pieces of plywood to hold them together. Asked to look at a room, and that confirmed we weren't staying - it didn't look a bit like the nice rooms in the pictures. Staff on duty was nice, and I believe he even managed it so I didn't get charged after all.
Arrived in the hotel at 12 midnight and from the start, the reception pointing the sign with his mouth that there’s no vacancy and i told him we have a booking. He gave us the first key of the room and it was freezing without heater and cockroaches in the bathroom. So he gave another room which was just recently vacated by another person and not cleaned. Third room, we got a key but the room is non existent. Fourth room, the room was under construction. In the end, he told us he will refund the money and we have to find different hotel in the middle of the night and raining. This is an inn not a hotel. Scary receptionist and rooms. I only read this stories online and now we have experienced it.
Great location with clean rooms. I read many of the reviews before booking this one and I think we all need to keep in mind that this isn’t the Waldorf Astoria so don’t judge it as such - it’s a nice 3 star, family run motel. Our room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. The furniture was a little worn but completely functional. You can walk to many of the Hollywood highlights and restaurants which is ideal.
Located only minutes from Hollywood and Highland this is a great place to base yourself for your Hollywood adventure. All of the conveniences you’ll require are only a short walk away (supermarkets, bars, fast food and coffee). The rooms are clean and comfortable and though the desk staff are a little quiet and not exactly friendly, they are professional and respectful.
At first I was a bit skeptical because of some of the reviews I saw I am not sure if the room that I stayed in was recently renovated but it looks brand new and very clean towels were fully stocked in everything work perfectly fine the only reason why I am not going to give this hotel a five star rating was because of the breakfast because it was like a gimmick and less than sufficient I stayed in a double bed room on the first floor room 108
Im generally super easy going with hotels, especially if I’m spending less on them. This was a HUGE exception. The rooms were dirty, I wouldn’t take my socks off on the floor. The bathroom floor had a hole in the tile, and the shower never really got above lukewarm. I felt unsafe when I would walk in and out of the room/in the hallway. The key cards demagnetized every. Single. Time. That we left the room. So we would have to go to the front desk and wait for them to remagnetized them. Location was ok but for the most part we still Ubered everywhere just to feel more safe. The day we left was the final straw though. We checked out at around 10am and didn’t have our flight to catch until 7pm. We had two large suitcases with us and backpacks. Every single hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my ENTIRE life has made accommodations for my luggage after checkout until I’m ready to head to the airport. The employees at the Hotel H-Wood refused to do this, we’re apathetic and truthfully just didn’t give a sh*t about us. They had our money and that’s all they cared about. Shame on you, leaving two young girls in a different city with all of their luggage for 8 hours. I will NEVER stay here again, wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY OR ENERGY on this dump of a “hotel”. I’m genuinely surprised they’re even legally allowed to call it that.…
Do not pick this neighbourhood to stay during your visit in Los Angeles. The hotel was ok but overpriced. It was clean, but the rooms had nothing special (dark-colored walls, basic furniture and no wardrobe). The breakfast was so basic, that we didn't even make the effort to wake up until 9.00. We chose the nearby starbucks and Ihop for our breakfast.
Great location very close to walk of fame and it took us under a 1/4 hour to get to Universal Studios Theme Park by car. Some good restaurants in in walking distance. Outside on Sunset Blvd there are a lot of homeless people (a bit of fact of live in Greater LA on this trip so far) but all quite peaceful. We never felt unsafe, also at night walking back from dinner with our two daughters. Staff is very nice, particularly Señor Handyman who seems up and running day and night. He helped us with door key and would guide us us out of the parking. The manager, yes, is a bit moody but helping out if you ask twice. Our kids loved the pool which is not particularly big but clean and serving the purpose. Once the owner decides to get rid of that old carpet, the hotel could notch up considerably if they decided to go for wooden floors. We saw a lot of families with kids. …
