Intimidating location. They have a security guard and we felt our car was safe…but walking around at night unthinkable. During the day, just down to seven eleven or starbucks we were in alert mode. The restaurant next door is closed and mysterious. Otherwise, the room was just sufficient. Clean but a bit run down. The air conditioning worked but when it runs it’s noisy like an airplane motor. It was functional but would not stay again.

As soon as I walked in my room, it looked amazing. Everythng was clean the toliet was super clean and the sink had a nice little basket with shampoo, lotion, soap, and conditioner. There were plenty of towels that were folded so nicely. There was enough luggage space, drawers, and tables. There was also tissue paper, hair dyer, and 2 trash cans

This is a dated hotel, but it was clean and comfortable. The pool area looked terrific, but it was closed by the time we rolled in. Parking is a real challenge for larger vehicles. The person working at the desk moved his car to make it easy for me, which was kind after 15 minutes of trying to maneuver into a spot where I could open the door. Stairwell had an odor of pot, elevator was clean.

I stayed for 2 nights with my family in a twin room in the ground floor. Parking is free for hotel guests. The room is small. There was a strong smell of unpleasant cleansing material. Bathroom is dull and the sink is outside the bathroom. Cleanliness is not the best thing. A terrible noise of the field- cockroaches in the plants just outside the door of the room all night. TV noise and conversations of guests in the adjacent room could be heard loudly due to the thin walls. Finally, I encountered several weird guest with bizarre behavior that I didn't want my family to witness. Not recommended for family stay with younger or teenager kids

The hotel told me I could get a room at noon. When I showed up at 11:30 the guy at the lobby told me "check-in is at 2pm". I show him the message from the hotel telling me I could get a room at noon and he says "I didn't write that". I tried to explain that it didn't matter who wrote it, I have a wedding at 2pm and I need the room early to shower and prepare. He kept saying there was nothing he could do. I asked him to check if rooms were cleaned and he says "they'll let me know". Refused to do anything to fix the problem and canceled my reservation, leaving me homeless 1.5h before the wedding.

Stayed in Dunes Inn on a package deal would not have chosen this if had a choice, there isnot a cafe /restaurant no where to have a drink as advertised we where told it has closed now, no safe in room, no coffee or tea facilities but Edward on reception was amazingly helpful lent us a kettle we bought cups and tea and coffee got to say would expect this facility in 2022. But saying all this location was spot on for hollywould metro station, we also used local bus with Edward's help of direction, homeless is very much in every street so sad to see this. Room is basic but all you want is to put head down at end of day, We actually enjoyed our stay it does appear that L A has a massive number of homeless and budget hotels unless you are staying such as Hollywood boulevard then you see a price difference. Our main point we would like to make is Edward is the most helpful guy made our stay so much easier dissappointed we missed you when we had to leave a big Thankyou to you.

I’ll start with the positives: Comfortable bed Fast WiFi Friendly and helpful staff Clean However, Los Angeles isn’t somewhere I ever wish to visit again. I visited solo and only left the room once, I wouldn’t have chosen to come to LA but it was part of the package. The streets were full of homeless people which is obviously sad to see, however it didn’t make me feel safe when walking about as there were also some pretty dodgy looking people about when I did brave going for a walk. The room also didn’t have a safe and so I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my passport in the room so I had to carry this about with me. I think having a safe in my room is an essential. The bed was comfortable however made a strange sound when moving during the night which woke me, as did the traffic from the busy road nearby. My room was situated at the side of one of the staircases and so I had quite a lot of noise from that too. The WiFi was very quick which came in handy as I stayed in the room for the full day on my last day so I didn’t have to brave the streets as I’d seen online that muggings and pick pockets occur often near the hotel. Given this is a lower cost hotel in LA, I would bare in mind that you get what you pay for.

I stayed here for 10 days from November 20 to November 30. This site is the usual U- shaped motel, two levels. My room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. There were occasional sounds from people coming and going outside my window and once I heard a muffled television one evening for a few minutes. The parking is free and the Wi-Fi is good! The water pressure in the shower was very good. The water was very hot. There is a air conditioner in the room. As others have noted, it is in awkward position and loud, but it got the job done. Since I stayed here in the winter it would be slightly chilly in the mornings and I would use the heating function to heat up the room a bit while I was getting ready which was very quick. The location was close to Starbucks, multiple fast food restaurants, and easy access to the freeways and local attractions. It’s kitty corner from a Target which also has a pharmacy and grocery department. There is a laundromat next door. They have a wash and fold service if you don’t have time to do your own laundry. I found it quick to do my one load wash and dry. There are some homeless people doing their thing in the area. They never caused me any problems and I did not interact with them. Unfortunately the on-site restaurant was closed down. After seeing pictures of their menu offerings I was looking forward to eating there. Hopefully they will open up again. The only drawback I found was that there is no in-room safe. I found that to be very annoying as I had to take my passports and electronic devices with me every day. I think the owners should consider adding safes to the rooms. I would stay here again.
