Our family of 4 stayed in 2 rooms for 3 nights at Villa Brasil Motel, a botanical oasis in the middle of the LA sprawl. The Brazilian owners have been operating this motel since 1991 and they and their staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms are in a colorful courtyard where you can park your car in front of your room. Each room has a small kitchenette with microwave, refrig, sink, and basic table ware so you can eat in your room if you want to, but why would you with such beautiful flowers and outdoor furniture just outside your door. We arrived to find a bowl of fruit, bottled water and chocolates in our homey, super clean room. Attached to the motel is the Cafe Brasil under the same ownership. We had an awesome meal there. Highly recommend this charming and affordable haven in the LA area.

This is a bright, lovely Brazilian-themed motel in what appears to be a ‘50s auto court. The colors are beautiful, wonderful plants, birds chirping and nice tables and chairs outside the rooms to enjoy the ambience. New air conditioning. A fridge, microwave, table, chairs and place settings inside if you want to eat in. We enjoyed Café Brasil next door. Very comfortable and clean room. It’s 5 minutes off the 405 and near Venice. Quiet, yet convenient. The best part - we didn’t realize that we left an iPad there. They contacted us, and we were able to stop by easily on our return trip to pick it up. So appreciated their honesty.

I have to travel a lot for both business and leisure. I have probably stayed in almost 80 hotels in the last 3 years. I am totally bored with cookie cutter places, non-descript decor, and, well, the usual. Enter this little boutique hotel. In the midst of the LA sprawl, this is like entering a transporter to Brazil. I love everything about it. Unique, playful, eye catching but also absolutely spotless and well maintained. It is minimalist but has everything you really need. Attached is a marvelous Brazilian Cafe which exceeded my expectations. In my week stay, I ate there at least 3 times. Never disappointed. Best Feijoada Completa I've had in years and. critical for me. the farofa was fresh and nutty. Both in the hotel and cafe, the staff were both helpful and friendly. In total, the only word that comes to mind is Charm. I am totally charmed by this place. If you are an experienced traveler and bored with the usual, this is the place. If not, and you like beige and bland this is not your place. I will be back every time I come to LA.

This might be the best place to be, if you’re looking for a bed close to Venice/Santa Monica/Culver City for a reasonable price! Really quite, just minutes away from the beach or the prosperous center of Culver City! A little oasis, maintained with much love to details. I was to so many places in that area, but this one is definitely the best and much cheaper than all the “fancy ones”!

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it! It has a colourful deco and is very vibrant looking... the room was great and there are nice little touches like chocolates on the bed and drinks in the fridge which are complimentary...the staff were lovely too! It has a little cafe/restaurant at the front and we wish we had tried it but we had run out of time..it was just something a little different in the suburbs of LA... The location for us was ok with easy access to the freeway for wherever we were going...we found it fine! We would recommend this place to anyone as it was a little bit of colour and a bit unusual but really just lovely!
