Very nice boutique hotel. For the area, the price is very good (including the adjacent parking, which is about half the price other hotels in the area charge). Close to Staple Center and the metro, though my wife and I stayed here for a concert at the Belasco Theatre. Nice sized room and comfortable bed. Was near the elevator but... More

We are fans of L.A. Opera, so we enjoy staying over in downtown L.A. when attending a long opera that lets out late at night. This friendly hotel on South Flower Street proved welcoming and comfortable, and we particularly enjoyed the generous (but not lavish) breakfast buffet that the hotel served at a modest price. There are few dining options... More

Stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and we have a very good stay. The hotel staff we all very helpful. You need to pay a small fee and there will be free bottles of water, breakfast and also use of computer and printer. Very near a local diner and target as well.

Location: beside downtown LA. Close to main metro line with good connections with public transports. But street atmosphere at night and weekend doesn't give feeling of security. Room facilities: old. Room very dark even with all lights turned on. Noisy room through day out from outside noise of air conditioning or other electric equipments. Comfortable bed. Walls need re-painting. We... More

I stayed at this hotel for a week in October 2016, and would certainly come back. Upon arrival I was a little unsure about location and what might await me, but I had no reason for concern. The service at front desk was good and polite, and as the week progressed felt a lot warmer. The room was a good... More

If you're looking for a place to crash while in town for business and are on a budget, this is your spot. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because I had a few strange interactions with front desk staff where I felt like they were going out of their way to be... More

We were able to walk easily to dinner and to Staples center for our concert which was nice. Parking was easy, right next door to the hotel. Check in was fast and easy. The rooms are very small...not complaining just giving information. The wall mounted AC was difficult to work at work but once it got going it supplied plenty... More

This is a good place to stay if you want a nice downtown location. It's a boutique hotel so rooms are smaller but still very nice. The bar downstairs is great (get the mac & cheese!) and cocktails are very well made. The breakfast was very hearty and full of a variety of good food. Would stay here again.

The O is not on the high-end of Downtown LA hotels but it does suffice. The boutique rooms are nice but a bit small but the furniture, linens, and amenities are reasonable for a short stay. I would probably not come back here again because so many other DTLA hotels come to mind. It's slightly above average and reasonably priced... More

First, when my colleagues and I arrived, a very rude female with long black hair notified us our reservation was cancelled. She didn't apologize or show empathy, instead she looked irritated at having to deal with such a complex situation. Everything was handled by Javi, who was very efficient and professional. I also noticed one evening my shampoo bottles in... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
