My husband and I were in LA for business but wanted to stay somewhere unique. Villa Delle Stelle was the perfect place. We stayed in the La Petite Suite, which was cozy but so charming and comfortable. Although it is situated in the middle, between two other residences, we never heard the neighbors. The suite was well decorated and I've... More

We stayed in "Le Petit Suite" for 4 nights. We didn't know too much about the room before booking, since it's their newest suite, but we were pleasantly surprised. It's like you're staying in a mini home in the city. We had 2 neighbors (I believe one might have been another Villa Delle Stelle suite but unoccupied). We had a... More

Never suggest anyone to go there! Incredibly stupid and useless, selfish owners and stuff. We booked the hotel through booking.com and received the confirmation. We arrived at 10 pm with parents over 60-year-age. However, they doubled booked the room and it was already occupied. After 4 phone calls and 1 hour wait time since the owner said that she was... Villa Dell Stelle is the perfect choice for us in LA as the accommodation is spacious, charming and literally a home from home. We stayed in the new duplex (Hollywood glamour suite) and we have also stayed in the bungalow too. Both have every convenience that you would want for self catering. The Hollywood Glamour suite is newly renovated and... More

Villa Delle Stelle is a beautiful boutique of themed rooms that are tastefully decorated. Although we didn't care much for LA, the hotel made up for it. We even spent some days in because the rooms were so comfortable. It felt like we were in our own penthouse apartment. The main downside is it's proximity to some establishments that attract... I just got back from a weekend in Hollywood with my husband for our anniversary. Villa Delle Stelle was perfect for us. It seems any of the negative comments people had really come from having the wrong expectations. This is not your typical chain hotel. It is a lovely home that sits in a regular neighborhood in Hollywood. There is... More

Coming from NYC, the 1000 sq ft sprawling Neoclassic suite I stayed in was such a treat! Honestly, I hung my hat and wished I'd never have to leave. The "suite" was more like a fully furnished home. There was a beautifully decorated master bedroom with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! I actually asked the manager where... More

When we arrived at the B & B/small hotel, we were first met with the challenge of parking in a spot so tight I had to get out before my husband drove into the carport. He had quite a time each time of getting out, but the car would drive itself in so it had to be done. Getting the... More

My husband and I stayed in the Bungalow with our teenage daughter. While it has been a while since the rooms were decorated, the place was totally captivating. Despite what the other reviewer said, the house was full of light! Of course, one needs to open the blinds to let the light in ;) The little twin bedroom had windows... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighbourhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Delle Stelle means House of the Stars. We recapture the glamour of the silver screen and allows guests to feel what it is like to "live and be treated like stars" from the foothills of the famous Hollywood sign. Co-owned by actors and entrepreneurs Susan Foster and Brogan Lane, each of the five suites are specially designed with a Hollywood legend in mind. Former wife of the late Dudley Moore and celebrity designer, Ms Lane bought the hotel in 2004 and renovated the neighborhood treasure originally built in 1924 to accommodate silent film stars including Buster Keaton for Columbia Studios (now Gower Studios). ... more   less
