Old house converted into hostel. The place smells. 2 bathrooms and 2 showers for 30+ people. Privacy whilst showering: only a flimsy curtain, and the shower is in the main bathroom (which cannot be locked). No hooks or hangers close to shower. Window glass missing in the shower, making a shower a freezing cold experience. Lots and lots of junk...

The living room was quite nice, there's a TV and lots of chairs and couches, but the atmosphere was quite unfriendly and boring. The kitchen was fine. The main dorm room where I stayed upstairs was pretty bad, something like 15 beds crammed into the room with 5cm mattresses which were very uncomfortable, plus the door to the balcony is...

Really good place to stay.. make sure you look down on the description as the first address isn't the place you go to check in! Really nice staff and very clean and safe. My only complaint maybe upgrade the beds as they seemed to be old.. however they were comfortable

Great place to stay. Not too far from the beach and the amenities are up to scratch. Staff overall were very helpful with everything from information about the area to renting bikes from the hostel, although here was one guy working there who was quite rude which made things uncomfortable at times.

This hostel is a nice, homely and warm house...if you are lucky enough to stay in that location. We got moved to a shared flat down the road, which was noisy, thin walled and a little bit run down. Staff was very friendly, everything else probably below standard, considering we paid 100 USD. The bed was fold out and the...

I really don't understand the bad reviews of this place! My partner and I stayed here as part of a budget round the world trip, and we couldn't have been happier! Far cheaper than anywhere else we found in LA, great location only 15 mins walk from Venice Beach, and a really homely place to stay that is more like...

This hostel is near the Venice canals and a few restaurants. It has a homely feel about it, a kitchen where you can cook, good bathrooms and dorm rooms. I felt very relaxed here, not a party hostel but an area in the kitchen where you could drink.

I booked this place thinking that it was the hostel at Venice Beach which is actually on Pacific Boulevard. This one is not where you think it is - it's on Washington which is nowhere near the beach. We found on arrival that we had booked rooms in an 'overflow' block with zero character upstairs from a laundrette. The rooms...

We arrived late at night having had a long drive from Pismo beach. The address detailed on hostel world and booking conformations etc. is wrong so expect a very difficult time finding the place. The hostel is located in a residential area with absolutely no sign-age whatsoever. As we arrived after dark there was no one outside and therefore we...

Located approximately 15 minutes walk from Venice/ Santa Monica beach. You can reach the hostel from the airport in 30 minutes from the airport via two buses in relatively moderate traffic, although traffic in LA is horrific most of the time. The rooms are very basic, lots of beds in a medium-sized space, not cramped for sure. Washing facilities were...
