My daughters and I saw two men beating eachother up in the daytime just at the end of the block from the hotel. There was another review stating the neighborhood was bad and they were not kidding. Did not feel safe with my two daughters. I guess I don't know LA areas very well.
We had booked this Inn for our first stay in LA. Firstly, it is advertised as being in Downtown but it isn't (our taxi driver also confirmed it isn't in Downtown). We arrived at 9am(ish) after a long morning and were told the earliest we could check in was 1pm so we had to just leave our bags and go for a wonder in the area. Unfortunately, there was NOTHING in the area. The streets were filthy, the locals looked at you like you were an alien, the vibe was generally unsettling and we felt extremely unsafe. We had to walk about 20 minutes just to get something to eat and, given the feeling we had walking around the surrounding area, we knew we didn't want to stay there and ended up moving to a hotel on Sunset BLVD which wasnt much more expensive. Of course, this is not a review on the Inn itself as we never actually made it into our room, and the man on reception seemed nice, but in terms of the area it is in, I wouldn't recommend it.…
The worst place I’ve ever stayed in. The bed sheets were stained, and felt dirt on the bed. The television did not work. Poor customer service. Parking was terrible. WiFi was slow. A struggle to even find the Inn. It’s also located in dirty place. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I payed 150$! Total trash Inn.
Medium experience . The rooms were typical and the floors were always damp . The A/C was very noisy and we had switch it off during sleep. They had not provided any Tea / coffee heating machines and the Free Breakfast was too simple. Parking was good. Wifi was slow . Toilets were not clean. However the Hotel was quickly accessible.
The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The TV had a lot of channels. The shower was very nice. The location was only a mile from the LA Convention Center - walkable. Reservations were easily made through booking.com. On-site free parking was a great bonus, especially for downtown Los Angeles area.
Casa Bella Inn was a 2 day stop on a business trip I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and everything was in place I have no complaints, when I'm in Los Angeles I would definitely stay here again.
Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was okay, lots of drink options. Tip: go early for breakfast or else it'll be all gone. Room was clean and nice. There was also an area to hang clothes with hangers. A safe was provided. No problems with AC or anything. Another tip: bring your own shampoo and conditioner as they do not provide any. Other than that, everything is fine. There is a fridge. No microwave in the room but there is one in the lobby and it's open 24/7. Overall, the motel was very nice and it's located at a super convenient area close to many destinations (Bradbury building, the last bookstore, etc.). If I ever need to stay in Downtown LA again, this place will definitely come to mind.
Very poor customer service. The staff is not friendly. The toilet didn't function properly. Had to pay for an iron and for the door key. Presumably white towels clearly need changing. "breakfast is crap"
This is an OK hotel for the price. One of the things that I did not like was they made you pay for ice in the ice machine. They do offer free Wi-Fi and a very minimal breakfast. The rooms are clean but the bed slanted. I booked a room with a king-size bed and ended up with a queen size bed. It is ok for the price though and it is close to the Staple Center
Casa Bella Inn is located in what looks like a very poor neighborhood of LA, but it's also very close to Downtown. Probably the closest you will get without giving an arm and a leg to pay for the accommodation. There is also a cheap supermarket nearby, making the location even more convenient for budget and mid-range tourists. I know a few people who stayed here in the past and like us, they never had any special problems. The rooms were nice and clean. Keep in mind though that it's not a high-end place.
