We stayed here for the week of Christmas. It was a little dated, but well worth the stay. The views from the room are spectacular. The Hollywood sign is visible from there. The hotel is an old apartment building. Some locals still live there. Hollywood Blvd is a very short walk from here. The walk down the hill is easier...

Hotel itself is between Silverlake and Los Feliz and there are a few bars etc in walking distance also it's about 40minw all to Griffith park which is great too. It's v close to the metro line so you can get the bus to LAX which is $7 instead of $75 you might pay in traffic Rooms are dated and...

Location is great with easy walking access to Hollywood attractions (be prepared to walk uphill on the way back if you don't take the shuttle - no problem if you aren't in heels). Views from rooms on the city side are absolutely amazing and worth any additional cost. The pool is small but lovely. Rooms are quite dated but spacious,...

This place is great! You check in at the Magic Castle hotel, then you drive up the hill towards Yamashiro (restaurant that is located behind this hotel and owns these rooms.)There are 12 rooms available to stay in up there. I recommend room 504. There is no elevator so be prepared to walk up some stairs but the view is...

We (almost inexplicably) love the HHH. The great view over the city and hills lets you know exactly where you are, but above the hustle and bustle. At the entry gate to the drive there's a clear view to the Hollywood sign. The fab, quiet pagoda-overlooked pool is very deep, clean and you may meet the most amazing local characters...

Did I mention the view? Polite staff, great 24 room service with best menu. Room 504 is the Katie Gover suite and I recommend reserving that for your stay in Hollywood. Walking distance from all to see in Hollywood with a Birdseye view to top it off!

Hollywood Hills Hotel is a sort of a sister hotel to the more famous and luxurious Magic Castle Hotel. The hotel is located up on the Hollywood hills with a peaceful location without any kind of heavy traffic disturbing you. The rooms are quite old but got all the necessities you could need from a hotel room. I could actually...

I was shocked and surprised during my recent stay in LA to find that this was one of my favorite hotels to stay at. At around $190/night (tax included), I figured this would just be a cheaper hotel to lay my head down at between adventures on Hollywood Blvd. The main hotel is The Magic Castle Hotel, which is where...

My wife and I spent a Friday night here in late June. We were in LA for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl and a high school reunion the next night. We were very happy with the hotel. It is not particularly luxurious, but that is not an issue for us. As you can see from our previous reviews of...

Hard to believe this place hasn't undergone a complete renovation and become a top dollar destination stay in Los Angeles. It's nestled in the Hollywood Hills on the side of a hill and the surrounding landscape is really very beautiful but it's not well cared for and it shows. It appears to be the "poor relation" of the Magic Castle...
