Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.

Booked to stay here for 2 nights while driving from Vegas to San Francisco. Knew we weren't going to be staying in a palace and thought we were prepared for how basic it was going to be. Wrong! If you put together all the creaky beds in the world they would not compare to the

A housekeeper's attitude was very good. Some trouble happened in my room, but the problem was appropriately solved by the housekeeper. She was kind and didn't try to get an extra tip. It was an impressive event.

The staff was outstanding. The rooms are old and not elegant, but very clean. The person registering us in was very inviting and helpful. The location is awesome - right downtown Los Angeles in the middle of everything. In walking distance of many things to do. For the 2 days we

Since no one was able to answer, upon checkin, a credit card was required on file but NO hold was placed on my funds.

Call the hotel directly or if you used an online site, contact them. But make sure it's more than 24 hours prior to your checkin time

Walking on W 7th street at night was good since there were people around but walking on S Figueroa Street was quieter (less people around). I didn't run into any problems. I didn't walk the same streets during day time but would think it should be safer since there will be lot more people around.

"Highly recommend"
"The room was very dirty. They were missing amenities that were listed on their website. Things were broken. When reported the response was we are at capacity and there's nothing they can do. When complaining the next day the response was I could have just switched rooms."
"Make sure your portables are fully charged before arrival."
"Get a room at the back or on the left hand side (away from the freeway)."
"Close to the Financial District"
