Nestled near LAX, the Hyatt Regency Los Angeles International Airport garners appreciation for its location and shuttle service, although it's not without its hiccups. While the hotel boasts a chic modern vibe, the atmosphere and decor have room for enhancement. Guests report mixed feedback on room cleanliness and noise levels, with some enjoying modern comforts but others encountering maintenance issues.
The hotel's amenities receive varied responses, and the steep prices for food and parking have made some question its value. The service quality also fluctuates, affecting guests' overall experience.

Detailed Reviews
My stay at Hyatt Regency LAX was magical! The staff was friendly and helpful. The coffee bar in the lobby had delicious coffee and snacks and staff members that greeted you with a smile every morning. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. They were also so quiet, you would never believe this hotel was so close to the airport - I never heard any noise from the planes. The whole stay was very peaceful and quiet. The beds were comfortable and the housekeeping service throughout the stay was top notch! This is a great property to stay at with a central location to everything you could want to do in Los Angeles!

Thank you so much for sharing with travelers your experience at Hyatt LAX! To offer a compliment of "magical" to describe your stay makes our day! We love what we do and attempt to take the anxiety out of travel and put the fun back into staying in airport hotels. Our quiet comfort is one of many hallmarks for our location so close to the airport. Sound proof windows allow us to do so, and our location with our 24/7 shuttle service allows us to give you back more of your time to reLAX! We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you for a return visit in 2020!

HYATT regency Los Angeles
A complete surprise, exceeding my expectations. As a business traveler, a mommy traveler, a girls trip traveler, I usually stay far away from airport hotels and bc of HYATT Regency Los Angeles airport hotel I’m wondering why! If you have a layover, or overnight layover like I did on a business trip from Orlando to Hawaii stopping in LA, there is nowhere better to stay than here. There’s a 24 hour free shuttle, TIP: after grabbing your bags the shuttle picks you up on the departure level, take a quick trip up the escalator and look for the RED lettered Hotels and parking sign, wait next to it, and a HYATT shuttle will be right there. I had to call, bc I didn’t read it in any reviews I scanned. It’s quick and easy getting to the hotel. Let’s talk about check in, what a magical experience. Being an explorist, I had checked in on my phone prior to arriving and so when I got to the front, they thanked me for being an explorist and then said I was picked to be their explorist of the day and I would have access to the regency club in the morning for breakfast, what a treat, I didn’t know they did that for their members, such a nice perk! The lobby has a bar, and a cafe with a plethora of snacks, drinks galore (pressed green juice, kombucha, soft drinks, water) chips, candy, bagels, sandwiches, and room service, they have all that you need, so you really don’t need to go anywhere if you don’t want to for a night. The room was surprisingly spacious, and like other reviewers have said, I didn’t hear anything, no planes, no talking in the halls, etc. TIP: just to save you from calling the front desk, in order to turn on your tv, you need put your card key in the slot by the light switch next to the entrance. The bathrooms look renovated and there is ample counter space. Check out, like check in can be done on your phone, it’s easy, and as I was headed out to catch the shuttle, it was waiting at the front entrance and dropped me off straight to my terminal. I will be switching my hotel in March to make sure we stay here instead.

I spent one short stay of maybe only about 10 hours at the LAX Hyatt Regency (got in mid-evening and had to take an early flight out of LAX the next morning, but it was nice enough that I wish I could've stayed longer!
This is an attractive, luxurious hotel. It's also a HUGE hotel, with quite a few floors and a LARGE number of rooms per floor, but it was easy to navigate one's way around. The lobby, common areas, etc. were spacious, attractive, and plush. I didn't have a chance to use the pool or other facilities, but my room overlooked the pool area and it looked very large and appealing. The room was large and very comfortable, and everything seemed in excellent repair and was of upgraded quality. Most Hyatt Regency properties are quite nice, but this was even nicer than most others I've stayed in.
I used the airport shuttle for my flight out, and there was zero wait for it when I was ready to go. (I had returned a rental car the previous evening, and was happy to see that car rental agency airport shuttles also stop at this hotel on the way to LAX, which was super-convenient.) The hotel is basically just across the street (at the corner of Century and Sepulveda Boulevards) from the main entrance to LAX, so it couldn't be more convenient for airport patrons. But despite its proximity to the airport, the rooms are very quiet and I heard no airplane noises or other noise.
The price I paid was quite reasonable, I thought, for this area and for a hotel of this quality. I'm sure the prices vary with the seasons and occupancy levels, but on this night at least, it was a great deal.
The next time I have a reason to stay at LAX, this will be my preferred choice, by far!

I really was impressed with this hotel. I received an email before I arrived and I responded asking if I was able to get a room low to the ground floor with a tub. I received an email back and they were able to accommodate me; Diane was the person I was emailing with and she was very prompt in responding. The room was very clean and nice. The food there was so delicious. There seemed to always be someone wiping the floor down, the whole hotel was very clean I thought. The staff was friendly and took the time to greet you and I was made to feel very welcome there. All the staff was like this. Where the food is there is a huge selection of snacks. I received a free breakfast with my room and it was great. The only negative in the stay was the $40.00 a night parking. But the parking attendant was no nice, and I was able to park right near the front of the hotel, so that was great. I would stay here again if I needed a hotel before flying out.

What I liked: Big round table great to have meals, nice couch to chill at. Fridge works really well, chill enough that my drink formed little ice crystals.
What I didn’t like: Masks were said to be compulsory on premises but many were walking around without theirs on and there was no one enforcing this regulation. Room was apparently soundproof from external plane noises but not sure why there was so much noise coming from the corridor outside. Random banging noises and housekeeping talking/cleaning loudly. Not sure what’s going on. Another puzzling experience was that I had requested for a tea kettle for my room (its not
provided as basic amenity lol) but they didn’t send it. Asked 2nd time again and nothing. It was only at my third try when I sounded more annoyed that it finally came. Food from the cafeteria is fine but expensive.
Overall, I had expected more from a Hyatt brand.

Other hotel chains only give you a lace curtain that doesn't close all the way to cover your window.
Hyatt has a premium grade privacy blind that let's the room get dark and their is no worries about some psychopath trying to take pictures of you sleeping so they can peddle them online.
It's really awesome. My room came with a chaise, a king size bed, overhead extra large shower head and a futuristic electronic control panel. It was Awesome! I really loved it!

The Hyatt Regency LAX exceeded expectations-especially after a 1 night stay on the earlier leg of our trip to Hawaii. Clean, friendly, well-staffed, updated room, ample and good tasting food options, and lots of security. Staff went out of their way to be helpful including the bellman who helped with a large amount of luggage. Additional towels requested showed up in less than 5 minutes (literally). Shuttle runs regularly and backup shuttle was ordered when capacity was too high for us to get on first shuttle. Bathroom is a bit small but room size was great.
Westin LAX is a worn-out and dingy property. We cancelled our second reservation and stayed at this hotel. Very glad we did.

The expectations I had for this stay were exceeded.
I travelled on work for a night passing through LAX en route to Laguna beach. Friendly checkin and great guest services the whole way. Room was recently renovated highly aesthetic and clean. The view of Sepulveda Boulevard cannot be beat and the noise level is zero, whisper quiet with double glazed windows, pretty much a spotless room with great amenities channel selection and vegan body wash and hair products in the bathroom which is always a plus. I asked for a room on a high floor and guest services member HUGO kindly obliged. Arriving from an 11 hour non stop flight from London he noticed how tired and hungry I was and owing to a misunderstanding about my card graciously offered me a generous dinner voucher at the hotel restaurant. The tv in my room had a technical issue there was a technician in my room in minutes. Extra blankets and fluffy pillows with a great shower made my night very comfortable. The lobby has a 24 hour facility to buy food and food is served till 1 am. I placed a 2 course order with Teresa at the “unity LA “lobby cafe and was served some of the most delicious fish tacos I have ever eaten. My meal was hot exceptionally fresh and extremely well prepared despite the fact that it was ten pm. The creamy tomato soup reminded me of the one my mom used to cook when I was young. Such a comfortable thoroughly lovely stay. Thanks HUGO and the wonderful chefs at UNITY LA cafe for making my one night stopover at LAX one of the best ever. Complementary Shuttle service from LAX makes getting here a breeze. Checkout at noon is a I bonus unlike some pleases these days! 🥰🥰🥰

Number of items not up to par at this hotel, compared to its competitors right next door.
1. There is no information in the room. Hotel directory contains information on earthquakes and services times for a local Catholic Church. That’s it. Information like what restaurants exist, or when hotel restaurant is open are not there. No data on hotels amenities at all. Nothing electronically provided on tv system or in room directory.
2. Room service menu is extremely limited, compared to Marriott just Dow the road.
3 . Lighting in the room was bizarre- took most of my stay to figure out how to turn on and off lights.
4. Hotel is next to one of the largest airports in the world- with various flights leaving at all hours.....breakfast buffet opens at 6 am. Not accommodating my schedule. That could have made another 30 dollars off of me, but instead a restaurant in LAX made that money.
Overall, Marriott offers a better product. Next stay, I will skip this one. If I have to pay $200 a night for a room, I expect to know where the gym is, without having to call the front desk to find out. What kind of manager allows there front desk to be clogged up calls about simple information that could be provided in a paper directory or digitally in the room.
Next time, Marriott.

Thank you for taking time to share observations of your recent stay. We regret any frustration you may have experienced lacking the information stated. We are and continue to make changes and enhancements for guests as travelers manage the travel mandates issued by the Federal Government. For readers curious about selected information noted in your review: unity la restaurant is open at 5:30 a.m. for breakfast with our buffet opening at 6:00 a.m. unity la open market is available 24 hours and includes hot items such as our great Illy coffee unity la bar and media lounge opens at 11:00 a.m. and includes a full menu Our room service menu offers similar items to the restaurants and is open 6:00 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. Our guest rooms practice sustainability with our electronic key cards. The card is inserted upon your arrival to the room and removed when leaving the room. This activates lighting in the room however guests controls the air/cooling system independently of the energy card. We agree a guest should know where all of there services are located and we endeavor to bring this up to par as we work our way through these improvements. We appreciate your candor and wish you safe travels.

The staff at Hyatt Regency were all great. The hotel followed all covid protocols and the room was very clean. Valet service did very well although it appeared to be only 1 person working. Housekeeping also did a great job with my text request for extra towels that arrived to my room in less than 3 minutes.

Hello,
A great question to ask. Walking would depend on the volume of luggage you are carrying. I've noticed many walk if travelling light. If travelling with a number of items, it's best to take the shuttle. We are a 10–15-minute walk from the airport and are the closest to the airport. Our shuttles operate every 15 -20 minutes and operate 24 hours.

HYATT REGENCY LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Hello,
Typically, guests' will wait 30 minutes for the shuttle at the hotel before their desired time of arrival to LAX. In this instance, it would be best to wait at 5am to arrive at 5:30. Although we are the closest hotel to the airport and it's a quick ride, LAX can be very busy and at time unpredictable, so it's best to plan with time to avoid rushing.
There's no need to sign up and shuttles leave the hotel every 15 minutes in our lobby by the Front Desk. We hope this answers your question and helps future visitors prepare for their travels.

It's only one mile. The area is not pedestrian friendly and is a high crime zone. Don't walk around, especially at night. If you have access to an automobile and safe parking, it should be ok. I lived in LA for sometime and had no problems, but I know of people who were violently mugged in that area. Just be careful, especially with family. Hotel concierge would have the best suggestion for transportation. I would say about $15-$20 each way, with tip.
hello which departments email address do you require.
We got their shuttle at mid-day at LAX AND got a 4 am shuttle from the hotel the next morning. Good shuttle service.
