great service upon arrival, while there and even afterwards, the staff was very attentive and helpful, and the unexpected room upgrade was really awesome. I will def be back again. best of all, the valet kept my truck in the local lot next to the hotel, as I was concerned about a break in/theft. i tipped them over $20.00 coming and going, because I was very appreciative

We had a wonderful stay at the Downtown location. We were immediately greeted with friendly staff. The hotel is of course beautifully designed with so much attention to detail. The addition of local artwork is a really nice touch, with the showpiece being the phenomenal hand painted mural in the entry. We had delicious meals at both restaurants, but will give an extra nod to the mushroom focaccia which I really could have just eaten all day long especially while enjoying that nice rooftop view.

This place has it all. Clean, Stylish. Hip. Fun. Quiet. Charming. Great staff. The hotel is also situated so you can walk downtown, 30 min. walk to the Broad and music centers. Great rooftop and excellent service throughout.

My boyfriend and I were coming in for a long weekend (and football) Stumbled across this hotel on Instagram, the vintage yet modern decor caught my attention; bright, classy, but not overdone. On top of it the fact that it was in fact a historic restoration made it even more authentic. We booked instantly. It did not disappoint, the property itself is as beautiful as it is in photos. The attention to detail from the painting, color scheme is one you can't miss. From check in to check out we had zero complaints. Caldo Verde the properties main restaurant had amazing food. For breakfast, i ate I the Schaner Farm Egg Omelet (get the omelet!) so much flavor dungeness crab, fire roasted pepper, and pico you can't go wrong, believe it our not the highlight for me was the arugula salad I had it with every meal!. As a New Yorker I appreciated the rooftop more the the decor and atmosphere a beautiful view of the city but I wasn't overly impressed by the menu and cocktail list (not really crafted) but not that big of a deal we had lunch by the pool which was adjacent and enjoyed the views. Overall the property was well kept with nothing out of place, the staff was friendly and accommodating and overall pleasant stay I will definitely stay again but am also interested in the design of it's sister location Santa Monica Proper!…

We stayed the night in a gorgeous room and had a lovely dinner on the rooftop at Cara Cara. The service of the hotel and restaurant staff was impeccable. We also had a cocktail at Dahlia. The tableside-prepared Old Fashioned was stunning (and a cocktail that deserves a new name to distinguish it from a traditional Old Fashioned).

Excellent service! We booked through Amex Platinum. We were given a room upgrade upon arrival. Our room was great! Front desk staff was phenomenal! Loved the breakfast credit and $100 food/ beverage credit. Rooftop bar is awesome! Great views. Entire hotel is decorated with style and class. Loved the vibe of the whole hotel.

The rooms on the 6th floor and below have no sound proofing and it literally sounds like you're on the street. There was a strike going on that was so loud that we could hardly tolerate it. As soon as you stepped foot out the door you would get a blow horn in your ear. I think we should have been accommodated differently due to this or at least informed prior to arrival. The restaurant was open but no one could eat there due to strike noise level which went from 7 am to 7 pm. The building is lovely but not worth the price tag especially with the strike.
