Visited FCP with the anticipation of luxury but all expectations were surpassed! From the beautiful entry to the well dressed ‘beefeater’ attendants (thanks Paul), my stay was nothing short of perfect.

Enjoyed fabulous cocktails in all outlets by CJ Catalano, a certified cocktail expert and gracious host. His menu and concept for the hotel make this a verified destination for any serious cocktail tour of LA.

I also enjoyed a personalized tour from Dan Sabo through the stunning lobby bar and certainly well appointed restaurant Lumiére. Everything has been imported from France and they spared no expense in capturing that authentic brassiere ambience.

When dining at Lumiére, I experienced impeccable service from Rhachel and Antonina whilst sampling pretty much everything from the menu. Again, the cocktail menu of CJ sung while not overshadowing the carefully curated wine list (in which I also imbibed).

Didn’t have a chance to experience the spa, but the rooms were so well appointed it’s almost an afterthought. The stunning balconies and beautifully outfitted bathrooms can easily scratch your itch.

In short, an easy five starts for this beautiful new expression of Fairmont in Los Angeles. Bravo all around!

I visited the Fairmont Century Plaza recently when attending a Bastille Day event at the property’s fine French restaurant, Lumiere. First off, the building’s edifice is striking, and you are immediately created by professional and enthusiastic valets as you pull up. Upon entry, you are greated by one of the finest hotel lobbies in the world. Having stayed at top hotels from Manhattan, to London, to Rome and beyond, I have rarely been so “wowed” on first entering a hotel. The sweeping ceiling and enormous glass windows typify the Southern California indoor-outdoor living, and comfortable seating abounds with a raised, spotless lobby bar centering the room. A fellow guest remarked “Now this is a lobby - see, this is why I travel, places like this!” And I could not agree more!

The restaurant, Lumiere, is an ideal blend on modern and classic, with chic and rustic ornamentation are balanced effortlessly is a very French way. The event itself was fabulous, with helpful and eager staff ensuring that food, drink, and fun continued to flow. From the classic, flawless charcuterie table to the mouth-watering raw bar, and with a lovely tasting of champagne to cognac, I felt just like I was at a garden party in the Loire Valley. Throw in a game of pétanque, and we had an amazing evening. I will certainly be back soon, and I look forward to continuing to recommend Fairmont Century Plaza to all my friends and acquaintances.

This was my second “staycation” at the Fairmont and I stayed the week between Christmas and New Year’s. I arrived an hour too early to check in and had to wait for my room to be cleaned. I’m not sure why I had to wait since the hotel was not busy. Anyway, the front desk reception person was very apologetic so I did not mind and he offered the specially packaged milk carton of water. This was time to relax after a hectic few weeks at my workplace.

The room was comfortable and I loved the amenities, from the lush bathrobes and slippers to the in room espresso and coffee maker. It was also great to have a Bodum tea kettle to boil water for the nice teabags. I used these everyday! The Fairmont rooms provide everything you might need, even toothbrush and toothpaste to sewing kit/shower cap, loofah, in addition to hairdryers. Even the extra roll of toilet paper is discreetly wrapped in a cloth cover!

I also ordered room service everyday and the food was excellent. The room service waiters were efficient especially Rosalinda. I really enjoyed the meals especially from Lumière. Favorite dish was the pan seared salmon (perfectly cooked) with roasted tomatoes and asparagus. A friend who lived nearby came to meet me for dinner at Lumière and it was so relaxing to sit in the restaurant.

I had a massage and a facial at the spa. It was my second visit this year and a highlight for me. I think their coed quiet lounge is one of the best, from the Asian-inspired decor to the fruit/nut snacks and Art of Teas. I loved using the steam room. Something different was a room where you go in and get sprayed with Himalayan pink salt. This is supposed to be good for your skin. Then there is the cold shower room. The service was impeccable. The attendants recognized me and I felt at home. I want to compliment Yancy, Amanda, Carol and Annette. Another young lady (whose name I did not get) was very helpful when I asked about what products the spa uses. OH the best part is after every treatment you are escorted back to the quiet lounge and your therapist serves you the special rice milk drink with a piece of delicious dark chocolate!😊 on a delicate tray. I could have stayed for hours.

Overall, the Fairmont’s staff provided excellent service and attention. I will definitely visit again for my next “staycation.”

When you check into a 5 star hotel you expect the best, but the best sometimes is different from hotel to hotel. Competing with neighbor hotels like the Waldorf, the FCP feels inviting and comfortable. It does not try too hard to be something that it's not and that is the feeling of living in Los Angeles. From the beautiful bar that awaits at the lobby to the amazing rooms there is no denying that the wait was worth it. We stayed for 2 nights in a corner suite, the room was extremely large and accommodated at least 3 people quite comfortably. The room had two bathrooms, one for guests and the insuite. The ensuite bathroom was espectacular, two vanities with a bathtub and large shower. Our room view was towards Santa Monica and you could see all the way to RPV which is quite nice to wake up to. The hotel has a lot of amenities that everyone should use - the concierge being one of them. The ease of being able to pick up the phone and arrange movie tickets and transportation is amazing given our short stay. They also have NO PET FEE! We brought our french bulldog whom loved meeting the front desk helper - Laurel! Overall the hotel will leave in awe and its well worth it's price. I would skip the Peninsula that is starting to show it'g age and come here for relaxation and comfort.

Just returned home from a disappointing long weekend at the Fairmont Century Plaza. Do not book the Fairmont Gold rooms. Why ? Because they do not have any of the Fairmont Gold Perks available. They have false advertising on their website. This is the information from their website ” Elegantly appointed Fairmont Gold Floor guest rooms, located on the 10th and 11th floors, feature private check-in and lounge with knowledgeable private Concierge at your service. The Fairmont Gold Lounge provides complimentary culinary offerings served in the privacy of the lounge, including deluxe continental breakfast, canapés and evening desserts.” They had none of this available. I was not informed of this until the day of check in. Very poor communication. Yes, I got a room on the 10th floor but that was it. I was offered food from the restaurant but later found out that I was still responsible for the gratuities. For the price I paid, I should have stayed in Beverly Hills. The only advantage to this hotel was having the Westfield Century City mall within walking distance. After this experience not sure I ever want to stay at a Fairmont Hotel again.

We had an unbelievable weekend at the Fairmont Century Plaza. From the moment we pulled up we got greeted and shown so much love by everyone! This was an experience we’ve never had, and we enjoyed it immensely! The room you provided us was amazing, and perfect when having a little one who likes to run around. He loved the showers in the room so much, we had to pull him out each time lol. At check-in they noticed my wife was pregnant and offered to bring us a pregnancy pillow, which i would of never thought of to ask for. That was very nice of them to notice and offer us that. We’ve stayed at a few different hotels and sometimes get an upgrade in room but that’s about it. You dont get the same energy and constant friendliness from all the staff throughout your trip like we did at Fairmont Century Plaza. Everyone from housekeeping to bellman’s and valet’s and ird servers were just so friendly and engaging we definitely felt vip! The rooms and balcony are beautiful, and rooftop pool is relaxing! They have a 14000 sq ft spa we didn’t get a chance to check, with my wife being pregnant and all. Definitely will check the spa next time. Whats great about the location is that it’s a short walk to Westfield Century City which is an extremely large outdoor mall full of great shops and so many restaurants. Cant wait to go back and visit again!

It brings us immense joy to know that our team made you feel cherished and that our facilities catered perfectly to your family's needs. Your kind words about the energy and friendliness of our staff are deeply appreciated. It is moments like these that inspire us to go the extra mile and offer the best to our valued guests. We are also thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our prime location near Westfield Century City. We agree—it's a splendid spot to indulge in shopping and dining! It just so happens that we are back in Los Angeles, two weeks removed from a very unsatisfying experience at the Maybourne Beverly Hills. (See our November 2021 review of that establishment.) The Fairmont Century Plaza was not only a pleasant surprise (we remember what it used to look like under prior management), but it was a real treat.

Fairmont has now taken over the management of this storied Los Angeles property and poured significant sums into its renovation. The result is remarkable. A lobby that is elegant and chic. Fresh, new hallways and rooms on par with the city’s better establishments. A beautiful bathroom with
Le Labo bath products. And the best part — service that is first class. Attentiveness without unctuousness.

The hotel is probably best suited for business travelers, but it makes for an equally comfortable landing spot for leisure travelers looking for something upscale on the Westside, all for a price point that is below that of the Bel Air, the Peninsula, the Waldorf Astoria, and the Beverly Hills Hotel. True, the Fairmont’s Century City location lacks the charm of the foregoing neighborhoods (one will not confuse Avenue of the Stars with Stone Canyon), but it’s proximate to everything you’d want to see on the Westside.

The Fairmont Century Plaza is now a great option for visitors to the Westside of Los Angeles and highly recommended.

Thank you immensely for taking the time to share your detailed feedback about your stay at Fairmont Century Plaza. We are overjoyed to hear that we were able to provide an experience that not only met but exceeded your expectations, especially following a less than satisfactory visit elsewhere. It's truly heartening to know that the extensive efforts we've poured into renovating the property have resonated with you. Your kind words regarding the elegance of our lobby, the quality of our rooms, and the selection of amenities have truly made our day. We're especially pleased to hear your positive remarks about our service – our team endeavors to deliver top-tier service with just the right touch of warmth and authenticity. We acknowledge Century City's unique appeal compared to some other iconic Los Angeles neighborhoods. Still, we're thrilled that our central location served you well in accessing the gems of the Westside. Thank you once again for your recommendation. We eagerly look forward to welcoming you back, be it for business or leisure, and assure you of our continued commitment to making your stay an exceptional one.

Arriving at the Fairmont Century Plaza you are greeted immediately by the friendly valet guys, who really do go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Christian was particularly friendly and welcoming.
We arrived slightly early for check in, our room was ready but had not been checked and so we waited about 10 minutes whilst it was given the once over, we were offered complimentary water while we waited.
Once we entered the room we were blown away by how beautiful it was and how perfectly thought out it was. We had room 847 which was a Century Plaza King with a great view over the city from the balcony.
As you entered the room there is a small seat for putting your shoes on, then there is a closet, which has plenty of storage space along with the safe. The main part of the room has a comfy corner sofa with a small table, large king bed, large tv and a large cabinet with a couple of drawers and a drawer mini fridge.
The bathroom was lovely, featuring a bathtub, large cubicle shower and gorgeous vanity with plenty of Le Labo amenities. The bathroom was decorated beautifully in a light marble effect tile.
Housekeeping came twice daily and did a fantastic job.
The location of the hotel is also perfect for getting around LA and with the Century Plaza mall within 5 minutes walk plenty of dining options on the doorstep.
Every member of staff who we came into contact with was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience.
We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to LA.

This is a great hotel in a convenient location. The hotel has recently been renovated and the facilities are 5-star. Service is excellent and the food was very good.

The only issues I encountered were a few times I called “Royal Service” and there was no answer and I had to call back. I suggest hiring more phone attendants or getting an app for guests to use to message the staff. Four Seasons does this at many of their hotels and it works well.

The other issue is the pool attendants seem to set things up at random times. While I was there, the setup time (towels, loungers, water, etc) varied anywhere from 9 to 11. It would be nice if things could be set up first thing in the morning for guests who enjoy an early swim.

Overall a great stay. I look forward to returning.

First and foremost, thank you for choosing Fairmont Century Plaza for your recent stay. We're truly delighted to read that you found our hotel to be of excellent quality, and that you appreciated the recent renovations, 5-star facilities, outstanding service, and our culinary offerings. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you faced when reaching out to Royal Service. We're always striving to offer our guests the most seamless experience, and suggestions like yours are invaluable in this pursuit. The feedback about Four Seasons' model is well-taken. Regarding the pool attendants' schedule, your feedback is crucial. A consistent and early setup time would certainly enhance the morning pool experience for our early-bird guests. Your insights and kind words are sincerely appreciated. We're eager to welcome you back, and we will make every effort to ensure your next visit is even more enjoyable and hassle-free.

I spent four nights here for business. The hotel was well located for my work and next to a big shopping centre. I had to change the first room that I was offered as it smelled musty and unclean. The reception staff seemed rather put out that they had to fix the situation. I was disappointed to note that there are no desks to work from in the rooms, except in the suites. The lighting in the rooms, especially the bathroom, is terrible to apply make up and get ready (I'm a broadcaster). The food in the restaurant and room service is fine but extremely overpriced.
The door, hospitality and housekeeping staff were absolutely wonderful, incredibly friendly and could not do more to make you feel welcome. Unfortunately the staff on reception were the opposite, generally sullen and seemingly unwilling to help. A tired hotel that could do better

Hello! Although there is not a shuttle or house car from LAX, the hotel recommends Alto, Uber/Lyft and private transportation services that the concierge can book. Yes, there is amenity option to use the spa facilities without booking a treatment. There aren't in person yoga sessions but there is a virtual program in the gym you can follow along to.
