The first night we stayed, our room had the odor of backed up sewer. Thankfully the staff ultimately switched us into a new room, with an upgrade, but no refund for the bad night or a free meal in the hotel restaurant. For our purposes it was located in a centrally accessible location. No frills. Charged extra for parking (but...

Was not sure about this location when we arrived after dark. Many buildings in the area with bars on the windows but by day light we felt a little more secure. Parking ($15/night) is directly at the back door of the hotel with good lighting. The rooms are Very Basic! There is a sm refrig but note there is no...

My girlfriends and I stayed here for 2 nights during our annual girl get-away. The hotel was pleasant and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. My only concerns were that the security was lacking, both in the lobby and up in our room. It seemed that anyone could just walk into the lobby and up the stairs. I...

I live across the street and had passed this hotel many times, always curious about it. Last week, we had a very bad storm for L.A, and my power was out for 2 1/2 days. I decided to spend one of the nights at the Hollywood Historic Hotel and really enjoyed my stay. We were in Room 225, a corner,...

I loved the location of this hotel, it was pretty close to everything, and an easy Uber ride to City Center. The staff was super nice, and the restaurant was very good. My only complaint would be the bathroom, which didn't have any shelves or anywhere to put your stuff. The view I had was of the Hollywood sign. If...

Had a great time, staff really helpful and friendly. Didn't get to see much as I was there to visit boxing gym and train but would love to go back and see more and would stay here at this hotel again as it seems quite close to things. Good advice to download the uber app as taxis were terrible but...

The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. As LA is very spread out, I thought this hotel was in a pretty good location right near to Paramount Studios!! We even had a distant view of the Hollywood sign. However there wasn't many places to eat nearby so eat out before you head home! The room itself was a good...

We only stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Fantastic value for money. The rooms were exceptionally large and were not expecting the amount of space we had which we were extremely pleased with. Only downside was that the room was so cold on our diet night but we then asked for a heating which we were given for the...

Compared to all the other low-budget options out there, this hotel is a head above the rest. The historic building is charming, potentially eerie if you're into adventure, and has a very classy bar / restaurant by the front lobby. The rooms are clean, carpeted, and spacious. The bathrooms, however, could use an upgrade, and the towels should be replaced....
