Me and my sister stayed at the Godfrey for a weekend for the BTS concert. We were able to go into the room before check in time since the room was available. As soon as we got in, everyone was very nice and courteous. From the valet to the front desk. It was a nice touch to see that your room key was needed to go up the elevator, making us feel safer. The room was small, just the bed, a chair and bathroom, but it was very clean and we had what we needed for our stay. Ramon was great once we checked out at 5 AM and made sure we were able to get a Lyft to the airport. I understand it’s a new hotel so Of course it is nice and clean and in a great spot where being outside late doesn’t make you feel unsafe but everyone there made sure you get felt welcome and had everything you need. The only downside is that there is a rooftop bar so of course you can hear the music, but that is not a dealbreaker or something earplugs can’t fix. People should just be aware in case they are Light sleepers or anything like that but other than that 10/10, definitely would stay again

For a hotel that's only been open for about a month, the staff here — everyone from front desk staff, valets, restaurant servers — was enthusiastic and attentive. A lot of the furniture in the rooms seemed like they were being used for the first time, and aside from some breaking in for the drawers and curtains, the aesthetic of the everything is top notch.
For a solo traveler on business during the week, the Godfrey would be a great pick. The rooms are a bit small, and all storage is under the bed. It gets a little tight if you're sharing the room, but if you're solo it's a great size. The fitness center is small, but has everything you'd need for a workout on the road. There's even a Peloton bike if you're into that.
Given the current Covid situation, there was some confusion on how to handle housekeeping, and we weren't able to get any service during our weeklong stay. Getting refills on coffee pods/toiletries weren't an issue, though.
NOTE: I would urge extreme caution if you're planning a weekend stay. There's an open-air night club directly next door that is open Thursday-Saturday nights, and they blast the club music so loud the hotel literally shakes from 10pm - 1am. Even if you're into that scene or a night owl, it was jarring to say the least. Earplugs don't help when you can feel the bass from your bed.

We have seriously ramped up our staffing and housekeeping procedures/protocols, and the issue you discussed is a thing of the past! We have been working with the night club behind the hotel, and they have drastically lowered their noise levels, and have even had construction done on the building in order to re-direct the acoustics of the night club so as not to interfere with our guests who are trying to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet. The Godfrey hotel it self was beautiful the rooms were nicely decorated and the shades blocked out ALL of the light which is extremely useful when sleeping in next day following our concert. Luis (the Bellman) was knowledgeable about what was around us and how far in the event we may want to go and check stuff out prior to our event. He played such a huge part in us enjoying our stay. At the end of the night there are food trucks that pull up and have yummy food. I do wish we were able to fully take advantage of their pool but our main purpose was to have somewhere to sleep comfortable at night and this spot was it! We would totally stay here again.

We often stay at the Andaz in Hollywood and will be back there no doubt. Better the devil you know. We arrived and have keys to valet parking which costs $49.50 per night inc tax, total rip off. We checked in at front desk to a miserable staff. We paid on my debit card for the full 5 nights costing £1,200. Anyway we went to our extremely small room which was ok, comfy bed. I must add whichever room you get there are no views from anywhere. We went to the roof bar and pool first night the drinks are very expensive but we expected that tbh. Staff at the top bar where nice and chatty. On the second day we noticed they had attempted to take a further £1215 and also another £607. I was at reception trying to get an explanation and tbh she didn’t have a clue. Long story short we ended up getting that back 3 weeks later when we got back to the U.K. it’s a good job we had other funds because this was held up in account for nearly 3 weeks. Further more we got charged 3 days valet parking when we only used it once so they tried it on. For the other 4 nights we used a secure car park literally right next to hotel costing $20 per night and it is 20 seconds walk from hotel. Huge saving. We went breakfast one day which again was very expensive but not only that we had eggs Benedict but left the lot because it was spicy, we told the waiter this but he didn’t understand and 30 seconds later brought us the bill. Rooms on the hills side are noisy as club next door. The comfy bed was only plus side. Other than that a poor place to stay and poor staff attitude also. Avoid !

Situations found us needing a room prior to a show at the Pantages. First tip is if you plan on staying at the Godfrey, go to their website to book there are some great deals that you cannot find on third party booking sites.
The hotel is off the main streets so you do not have to fight traffic, and the entrance is very well lit and welcoming. The first thing we noticed is how friendly and welcome everyone is from the Valet, to the Bell and Front Desk staff. You felt the authenticity from the start which made our stay even more pleasant.
The lobby area and bar are compact but appointed very nicely. We did not get a chance to try out any of the facilities, but from what we could tell everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
We had a single King room, view is nothing to speak of from the 4th floor, but the room was very clean, well lit, and in this day and age lots of outlets. Underneath the bed is the safe and some other amenities. There is no dresser in the room but we were only there for one night so we did not have alot to carry. There is no desk but there is a "foldy thing" that comes down from the wall where you can work or put down any food. Again the room is small, but it does fit a King Size bed and 2 nightstands with a decent amount of walking around room. Rain The bathroom is a good sized, with the Rainfall shower head as a nice touch.
Another thing you will notice is that you do not hear any residual noise from other rooms or the hallway. Maybe we were lucky, but made the stay more relaxing. However they do provide ear plugs and an eye mask just in case.
Lsstly as we all know there are alot of Homeless in and around Hollywood, but we were able to walk the 3 blocks to Pantages without hitting any Homeless encampments, not planned but definitely relieved.
Overall a good venue that provides lost of options for food and entertainment nearby, if you are in the area.

Stayed here during a visit to LA for my anniversary. We loved the location and room decor but the rooms were super small there’s definitely no room if you have suitcases or are traveling with a child. I now check other hotel room dimensions against this one to determine what’s too small.
We also had an issue with room noise. I’d seen previous reviews regarding the night club and had asked for a room away from that. We had a courtyard 1st floor room, however upon check in at 10pm we went into our room and heard noise. We called the front desk to be told it was the hotel rooftop DJ and he’d be stopping soon. That didn’t happen and was the start of what ruined our trip and why we’d never come back to this hotel. The music didn’t stop until very late and the next afternoon when we came back from brunch and a spa day we arrived to even louder music. Our plans to nap before heading out again we’re ruined. We could here the music as if the DJ was playing right outside in the courtyard. The next morning we decided to sleep in but that again was ruined by the music which started before check out time. When we checked out and expressed our dismay about the noise the front desk appeared surprised but we’d already heard multiple guests complain which was annoying….

the room was very small. the food not good at all. there are a very good parking lot adjacent to hotel very clean and secure that charged me $20 one night but later the front desk told me they have parking for guests so i choose to put my car in hotel parking for remaining night stay there. after coming back to my city i saw they charged me around $400 and when i asked them they said for $50 per night parking and also for Wi-Fi and other things. we just went out and coming back to sleep there. i don't believe they charge me for parking and wifi and something that i never use it. i never use this false hotel again.

For starters they charged us a fee of 450 dollars as a safety deposit during our stay that is returned to your bank account within 7-10 days after the departure, money that sometimes you contemplate for your trip and could result in an tightened budget .
Then, the worst thing of all is that there is no water available, just mini bottles that they give you the first day and that’s about it, if you want more they’ll charge you for bigger ones.
The room smelled like food all the time, the air conducts of the rooms lead to the restaurant so you always feel like you’re inside of a McDonald’s.
They never refilled the bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body gel in the shower.

Enjoyed our stay very much at the Godfrey. Although we had read many negative things about staying in Hollywood, we were glad we chose to do so. Conveniently located to Metro, "tourist sights," and Hollywood Bowl, all of which were important to us. Neighborhood felt safe. However, as a NYC resident this sentiment may vary among those not accustomed to urban life. LA broadly has a homeless issue - this is not confined to Hollywood. They will not harass you, in my experience. Room was great. Not a lot of room to "hang out," but we weren't there to hang in the room. Beds very comfy. Large bathroom. Shower has a rain head and wand - we couldn't get the wand to work because it operates different than we were used to - had to ask 3 days in a row for a maintenance call. This was our primary complaint. Roof deck is phenomenal. Lovely pool with chaise lounges. Roof bar that is not obnoxious/loud/crowded. View to Hollywood sign. Night club on the block stopped the loud music at a reasonable hour, but if you are a light sleeper, ear plugs may not be a bad idea. Room includes: safe, shampoo/conditioner/body gel, soap, shower cap, hair dryer, clothing steamer, mini fridge, coffee maker. Clock radio with wireless charging and usb ports. Smart TV. Key card access.

Loved the room, very clean, comfortable beds, nice lighting. Everything is brand new. Feels high end.
Service was bizarre, the staff needs way more training to make this a high-end hotel. Asked for housekeeping, it never came. Front desk answered a call during my check-in and left me waiting there for like 5 minutes while she answered tons of questions from someone calling in. Only one bath towel in my room. Called down to front desk about the restaurant, phone just kept ringing, no one picks up. Asked for some toiletries since housekeeping never came, toiletries never came either. Maybe opening issues, I'll give the place another chance.
