Overall, the hotel is fine. But I would not rate it very good because of the shoebox sized room. There's no room for a desk or table to eat in, you need to fully close the restroom door so you can use it, and if you don't, your neighbor can peer in and see what you're doing. But the upsides are great. The hotel has a beautiful lobby and grounds, the restaurants are gorgeous with that old Spanish feel, the history of the hotel is pretty cool, and then there's a rarely used balcony just outside the gym. I never used the pool, but the pool bars and restaurants are pretty. Parking is just next door, and the staff is great. The location is fantastic. The paintings, the book decors, the speakeasy room, lots of sitting areas, 2nd floor mezzanine, the romantic arbor walkway, gigantic lighting, makes for a nice setting as if you're in an old Spanish hacienda. Super beautiful property. As long as you're okay with your luggages taking up valuable real estate in your room.…
Downtown LA - been here several times for business before Covid, so the location is exactly what I was looking for. there is a great choice in the area, but this was my first time at The Figueroa after a recommendation - and it was a good one. It is always welcome when historic properties synthesize the traditional with the modern - and this hotel balanced that. Moreover, in the Covid environment, there are ample outdoor places to hold meetings, bring in food or just have a drink. Great spot, great design, great service.
Staff - generally good… friendly.. not creative in a crisis Cafe fig / restaurant/ downstairs lobby area - fantastic vibe Pool - good trendy fun vibe Overall would recommend to stay if no expectations of room service / in room dining and good vibe hotel.
We only stayed one night for a quick getaway. This hotel was walking distance to a lot if places we wanted to visit. The staff (check-in, check-out, and valet parking) were all super friendly. The room was clean and the AC worked wonderfully (important for those hot summer days). We weren’t around long enough to check out the restaurants and pool, unfortunately, but we will make sure to do that during our next stay. Yes, we’re definitely coming back to stay here!
Rocky start and Rocky end. But overall a pleasurable experience and will return again - thanks to Asst Director, Ulices Hernandez, AJ and the whole house keeping staff were completely friendly and improved my mood with their approachable demeanor when asking questions about the hotel.
Now a Hyatt property, I arranged a stay at this historic hotel. The public areas are beautiful, and the food and beverage options were great. The room booked in had a living room area, bedroom and very large and well-appointed bathroom. The entire vibe of this hotel, the guests and persons just dining or enjoying the bars was perfect. This is the perfect place to stay in DTLA!!
A beautiful boutique hotel, fabulously decorated, attentive staff, extremely comfortable beds, quiet rooms, and very clean! And great restaurants in the hotel:) I would love to come back and would definitely recommend to anyone!
Great lobby, pool, restaurants location! It's an Oasis in the LA city lights. Unfortunately my TV connection barely worked. The drinks are very expensive and I live in NYC, specifically a $9 orange juice.
I throughly loved my stay. We were fortunate to have a room with a remarkable bathroom. Basic rooms are a bit on the small side, but you're in DTLA... you should ideally only be in your room for the brief time you're sleeping. The 2 restaurants are absolutely to die for, especially Sparrow. Top level menu and wine list, plus its pool side... tried a little bit of everything on both menus, and you really can't go wrong. Gary L. was class, made sure we had everything we needed, even bottled water for the trip home, and our car was valeted in a safe and secure, 24/7 locked lot. The valet staff was also top as with a leather dash i need the sunshade up, the obliged AND parked me where it would get the most shade through out the day. Lizeth, Huber, and Eddie pure class. Thank you all, and we will be back. Cheers!…
Great hotel love the quite pool, the lobby in the morning is full of people working felt like a work share space, the room was clean the little details of house keeping is charming and let's you know they did a detailed job.
