Picked the kimpton for our first visit to LA due to location and we were not disappointed. Hotel was very modern and rooms, bar and restaurant areas very impressive as was the pool.area. staff were very helpful and informative and location was perfect. 5min walk to hollywood boulevard, plenty of eateries and bars nearby and plenty of transport options nearby.
Booked this hotel for my daughter and her friends. They had the best time!! Here is what she had to say about her stay....."The city view room was amazing, Rooms were big and very clean. TV's are big and have lots of features. The Restaurant in this hotel is amazing! We found ourselves waiting to eat until we got back to the hotel...it was that good! Felt safe and well cared for the entire trip. Staff was accommodating and so helpful. Cannot wait to go back"
The location to Hollywood attractions and the view of the Hollywood sign and surroundings was fantastic from our room. The delicious breakfast (great unique choices) and (free) coffee at the restaurant were both outstanding!! Do be sure at check-in to ask if you have any meals that come with a package you or your travel agent may have booked; at check-in they did not mention that we had a package deal that included $50 per room just for breakfast...I take responsibility that I did not notice that in my lengthy itinerary nor do I recall travel agent make me aware of this, but I don't see why the hotel didn't let me know that as a friendly reminder at check-in. I also did not see any signs of anyone using any food vouchers or credits at the restaurant, and the friendly cashier at Jane Q did not ask for my room number nor did he check to see if I had any sort of meal allowance, so I paid a lot of $ with my credit card for the food and had to get refunded later when I accidentally found out from my travel agent that I shouldn't have paid anything...but they did say they would credit it back to me later. Room and bathroom was modern, clean, and comfortable. The hotel was always busy which made it sometimes hard to reach the front desk, but the hustle bustle made it a more fun, happening place, and they do offer a free glass of wine at happy hour nightly from 5-6 pm at the bar...the decor of the spacious lounge/bar areas right beyond the lobby and elevators was beautifully done---loved the vibe. Overall a great stay!…
Great hotel in a great location to get to all the Hollywood sites. Easy to drive to the Hollywood Hills and within a couple of blocks walking distance of Hollywood Boulevard and the Walk of Fame. Check-in was of a high-standard, with a complementary glass of sparkling wine on arrival and even an unexpected room upgrade. When in the room there was even a gift of a complementary drink at the hotel bar. The room was quiet and was of a good standard, with a really nice bathroom area. The views of the city were fabulous. Valet parking was good and prompt, even if a little on the expensive side, but I guess that is standard in LA. The staff were all amazing and very attentive to our needs. Overall cannot fault this hotel at all, with a good experience all round.
This was a great hotel for our purposes - modern, airy and comfortable. It is on the edge of Hollywood and so was a good base for all things celebrity with our teenagers. We had a larger suite with a massive window overlooking the Hollywood sign which was a winner, large lounge and shower room with free standing bath. All super clean and a very comfortable bed. There is a laid back bar area on the ground floor and a cafe on the lower ground floor, perfect for grabbing coffee and breakfast before heading out and about.
