Would not recommend this hotel . Located in a Bad neighborhood full of homeless people. Horrible parking, had to walk a 1/4 mile to & from garage in a bad neighborhood . Never saw a front office person. The old elevator was not fun . Very noisy and scary at night. No coffee in room. Just all around bad experience...

We have a large attraction of lively people on the boardwalk but at the end of the day we are a quiet safe beach community of friendly people. The homeless in our area are more of a carefree versus destitute people that choose to live a bohemian lifestyle in Venice Beach. They are harmless, relatively quiet and don't cause problems....

First off, let me recommend if you are from the country or somewhere quiet like us bring ear plugs. As others have mentioned it may or may not be noisy or bother you but if it does you will be glad you have them. We got back to our room late and did not get great nights sleep. In spite...

Nice place. Fun spot on the beach. Nice room. It was a family trip for us, so we really enjoyed the two room (1 BR) suite. Not the best place to sleep late, though. It was noisy outside our first floor window early in the morning. We would definitely stay here again.

We are the only Venice Beach boardwalk hotel where you step out our front door and on to the sand. We are within walking distance to everything including boutique shops and restaurants from Abbott Kinney Blvd to the Santa Monica Pier. We are definitely more that a hotel. Stayed for two nights at Venice suites. Was quite happy with the size of the room as we were sharing with our friends to save on some money. Felt very comfortable and loved being so close to the beach. Short walk to Santa Monica pier. Nothing to do with the room, but during both nights there were some disturbances from...

This was my second time staying at Venice Suites. Rooms are more like apartments. Always clean! No AC but the ocean breeze is better. You can't beat the location. They have a rooftop with a terrific view. Just 20 minutes from LAX.......and a few steps to the beach.

We pride ourselves on having the best rooftop terrace of any hotel on the Venice Beach boardwalk with a gas barbeque, kitchen cooking area, sectional couch, dining tables, sun chairs and spectacular panoramic views of the ocean and city. Not really a conventional Hotel, more like having a small apartment on the beach. The rooms are very nice and quite spacious. It's an older building so the bathrooms are a bit old fashioned and there's no AC. I thought the vintage elevator was neat, some might not have a sense of humour about it. I was there in April...

My husband and I absolutely fell in love after the first night and decided to spend a 2nd instead of driving into LA. Loved this place so much and the location is perfect. Can't get any closer to the beach and ocean. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our requests. Would highly recommend this to others. The...

Great place to stay in the heart of the craziness of Venice beach. Idle location to take in sights of Venice and close Santa Monica. Staff are very friendly and eager to help. Don't forget to enjoy the rooftop area, great space for quite ale after a day on the beach.

Staying in Venice

Neighbourhood Profile
Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
