We spent one night at this stunning property to celebrate our anniversary and attend a Dodger game. We are Titanium Bonvoy members and used a Suite Night certificate and were upgraded to a very large and beautifully decorated studio suite on the top floor, It was perfect. We enjoyed a fabulous brunch at the restaurant downstairs using our food credit the next morning. It was the best brunch we have ever had. Our server was very special as well. Her name was Debbie, and she could not have been more cheerful, accommodating, and hard working.. We hope to return soon for another wonderful stay.
It's a decent property if you're attending a convention here...otherwise I would stay elsewhere. The room was nice but the breakfast buffet was very meh. I didn't even bother with breakfast on my second day even though it was complimentary for me as a Marriott Ambassador Elite. Staff was very friendly.
Been in JW at LA Live a few times and every time, I have enjoyed this hotel. It is centrally located (if you want to visit LA sites close to downtown). I always get an upgraded room and I must say the Corner units are awesome, they have great view, the Suites are pretty large and bathrooms are so nice also with a view of LA Skyline. Service I what I expect from JW, very good, friendly people. They even remembered my Birthday, which was very they remembered. Got a few perks , Free Pop Corn at the Regal theatre (right across) which was a great experience, Got Free pass to see the Music Museum (next door also), and free $20 to buy munchies,... etc. The rooms are very clean and every time I requested for any amenities, it was provided very quickly . Staff are very polite Check IN and Check out is a breeze. They have a nice Pool area (can get busy on nice sunny days). and pool area they also sever drinks There is an executive lounge which has been closed since Pandemic, Hope they open it up. Breakfast Buffet was good and had variety of food to choose from; It is a bit costly if it is not included in your room but if you just want to load up and not worry about lunch, it may save you a few $$. There is also a nice Bar and they serve some food there too. The lobby is nice and big and overall the Hotel is a great place to stay, relax and discover the area, One warning, areas around this hotel is not too safe to walk about by yourself. As you walk just a few blocks from the hotel, you will see all the Homeless Tents in the middle of street, lots and lots of strange characters and homeless people, and every year I see it gets worst; Very sad to see City is not doing anything to help,,!.. Lots of crime too. Generally, I do not recommend walking about more than 1-2 blocks away. Parking (only Valet is available) is expensive, I learned you can get around with Uber/Lyft much cheaper than Renting a car and paying for the parking but then again depends on the purpose of your trip and how much you want to drive around.. I definitely recommend this hotel and I will be staying again...…
We decided to stay downtown for a couple of days at the LA Live JW after we had dinner and a few drinks. We were promptly greeted by hotel lobby staff and provided with our room information. The room itself was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and everything worked and was up to par. We stayed in a corner room where the views of the streets were cool but of course you’re in the middle of Downtown LA soooo yeah there’s that. Some amenities were not available due to COVID but for the most part, the pool was available and the lobby bars and restaurant were open. The breakfast we ordered was pretty tasty and reasonable for a hotel purchase.
Judith at the front desk was Amazing!!!! We got in late last night (4/15) after a 7 hour drive with a toddler. We were all tired and hungry. She made our check in process pleasant and efficient. She also made an effort to talk to my son and include him, which helps distract him and save use from a tantrum. This is our first time staying at this hotel, and as huge Kings fan who come to games a lot, we will now be staying here every time!!! “Thank you Judith!”
