We stayed here for one night and had a great experience. Parking was easy, the staff was friendly and efficient and the room was clean. That’s really all we could ask for! The complimentary coffee/tea and toast in the morning were a nice surprise. We would definitely stay here again.
We loved to be here in this Korean district. Everyone was from Korea (we were the only European guests ☺️). They are clean, precise and polite. There was in our floor the vending machine for coke and so on (at good price!). The only thing we disliked was the smell from the restaurant at ground floor. But that’s why we don’t like Korean food. Finally there was someone 24h in the parking. I suggest this hotel!
Smells damp, musty and greasy like takeaway food. Lack of cleanliness. Rude and unhelpful staff. No hot water. No bedding or additional pillows. Very unpleasant surroundings and inconvenient location. Tiny room , 2 beds squashed into single room. Courtyard like a prison exercising yard for smokes , who can see into room and smoke drifts in through windows and air con. We booked a 5 person family room but only room for 4 small people. Would not allow us to cancel despite not being as advertised and took payment.
Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly receptionist and the check in process was very easy and quick. The hotel is quiet but on a busy street. Our room was larger than what was pictured. I appreciated the terrace right outside our room. The staff were friendly and did a great cleaning job daily. There is a restaurant located downstairs level of the hotel as well as a spa, gift shop and clothing and trinkets shop. Being that it is in Korea Town most restaurants in the area (walking distance) are Asian inspired with the exception of the Pollo Loco across the street. Its about a $15 Uber to get to DTLA and about $45 to get to Venice Beach. The hotel was easily accessible through Uber you just have to tell your driver to pull around back.
You can speak Koreab in New Seoul Hotel, and feel clean. The breakfast is free, but not satisfied. Free breakfast is only toast and coffee. You can order Korean foods, of course, you will pay for them. I am satisfied with everything without a free breakfast.
Stayed here once before and it was fine. This time, noise from nearby rooms was a problem. Everytime the shower went on, toilet flushed, doors opened and closed, etc... we could hear it in our room. This went on from 4am to 8am. We did not sleep well at all, and I'm a heavy sleeper. The front desk was apologetic but unwilling to offer any type of compensation for this major inconvenience. I'm sure these are known problems by the hotel. The noises we experienced are not related to noisy guests. It's just poor sound proofing in the hotel.
This hotel is located in Korea town and close to restaurant and department stores. Rooms are very spacious with comfy beds. Patio on the 3rd floor with table and chairs for those who wants to smoke. They also have a few shops on ground floor and a restaurant open from breakfast as well as a coffee shop. Free parking is a plus top with 24 hours security. Great price too. Would certainly come back when staying in Korea town.
I like this hotel. Great parking lot, clean well lit with an attentive security guard. Clean lobby with a friendly desk agent. A good price at $99/night. The room was clean and totally fine and the bathroom as well. I found this to be a clean, cute, efficiently run hotel. Not cluttered, not noisy, just a simple easy place with a gracious and very polite staff. Well run establishment.
The New Seoul Hotel is a clean, affordable hotel in Koreatown Los Angeles. The staff is very friendly, and although mainly catering to Korean nationals, I always stay there whenever visiting the USC area.
