I have stayed at many ESA properties over the past 20 years nationwide. I have to say that most of the staff at this location is very friendly. The manager has all doors set to exit only instead of your keycard being able to open the doors from the outside, this is a very good part of town so there shouldn't be a problem about security. It makes it very inconvenient when you are bringing in your luggage or groceries since you have a kitchen in your room. During my 5 plus weeks at this property I have had cockroaches in my room from time to time. The tells me that they do not monitor the cleanliness of the rooms. They aren't providing maid service unless you ask for it about 2-3 days ahead of time. The is one maid that is the most rude person I have dealt with in the hospitality industry in many years. If you say hello to her, she just looks at you. She was cleaning the entry floor in the lobby and I said to her that is a never ending job, she never even acknowledged my existence. It is very apparent the she needs to find a different job as I doubt that any one tips her for her service. Another guest told me he was moving because of bed bugs that he found in his room. The breakfast consists of blueberry muffins, granola bars or instant oatmeal. Coffee is limited to light, no medium or full roast. They never have sugar, only sugar substitute which I am allergic to.…
I have received great customer service and accommodations from Samantha and her manager Andrew for all of my needs here at Extended Stay - Long Beach Airport. I have been staying here since July 5th, 2021 and they BOTH have made it a wonderful experience. I recommend promotions for both of them. Please let me know if they need any further support on behalf of their careers in hospitality/management.
I recently stayed at this extended stay for 6 weeks while I worked in LongBeach. The first 4 weeks I was in a room with double beds and then chose to change into a one bed room for my last 2 weeks. Once I moved into room 141 I started waking up with random bites on my body. I notified the manager, Diana Gutierrez and was moved to another room. She told me to leave my blankets and luggage in the room. She assured me that my belongings would be safe. She said she would take care of my things and they were going to inspect the room for bed bugs and I would get my blankets and luggage back as soon as possible. 2 days passed when I went to check on my things in room 141 they were not there. I asked the staff at the desk if they knew anything about it and noone knew anything. When I would try to talk to Diana Gutierrez I noticed she would see me coming to the front desk and she would quickly walk into the back room, to avoid interacting with me. This went on for a few days and I would leave messages with the staff to give to her regarding the whereabouts of my belongings. The staff was purposely telling me she wasn't there when she was. It was so hard for me to speak with her. When I finally did talk with her it was on the phone. I explained to her that the most important thing that I left in the room was my mexican tiger blanket that was given to me by my dear mother in 1998. I took that blanket everywhere with me for 23 years and even as an adult I still slept everynight with it. That is how important and precious the blanket was to me, it was a part of me. She carelessly told me to go buy another blanket and to bring her the receipt and she would reimburse me. I told her that blanket was priceless and irreplaceable. I would give everything in my possession at that moment if I could have my mothers blanket back. It was an heirloom to me. Diana said she would try to find it by asking her staff, housekeeping if they knew anything. At that point I was so disappointed in how little sympathy she had for my issue. I trusted her with my things and I honestly believed she would take care of them like she said she would. Besides that she also said she would do other things that she failed to come thru with for example reimbursing me for the hotel charging me more per night then what I reserved it online for. I emailed her the receipt, nothing was ever done about that. And also changing out the drawers that were falling apart in the final room I stayed in for the last weeks of me being there. Being honest and understanding customers needs and doing what you say you are going to do is the difference between a great manager and a horrible one. The fact that Diana Gutierrez avoided me because she knew she had made a mistake and lost my blanket was a very cowardly thing to do. She basically prolonged her interacting with me because she knew I would eventually be checking out. I really hope she takes this experience with her and learns from it if she wants to continue in a management position or any customer service position at that. And I will not be so trusting next time no matter how sincere a person appears to be. …
I stay at this location for 11 days and i must tell you the place look good from outside, it was convenient since it offer refrigerator, small stove, microwave and sink which was helpful to save on eating out too much but the second night of my stay I discover the place has small roaches, i did inform then but they did not seem too surprised about it and did get the place fumigated.. i didn't wanted to changed rooms since i had totally disinfected the room and i really didnt think i would make a difference.. on the 4 night the stove stop working so i had to wait until the next day to have it fix since their technician was only available until 5pm.. I would say that i would never stay at this place again and would never recommend it to anyone i know.. i was supposed to be in a non smoking room but whe i was walking in the hallway you can smell the cigarettes an even weed being smoke i told them that i can even smell that in my room.. i ask them about it and they said that even though the are was non smoking if people smoke in their rooms there is nothing they can do.. that was the final straw and i decided to leave that place i was getting too mad and to high from all the weed smoke to care anymore.. i was supposed to be there for 14 days but left after 11.. so if you can book your stay somewhere else…
