Hotel within walking distance of beaches and Cruise Port. In need of major room upgrades , place is entirely out dated. Amenities lacking . Coffee in the lobby , was told Coffee was only available for employees. Hotel has 2 floors but does not have an elevator. Also has a pool and we did see it was serviced on day we were there. Currently Hot Tub is out of service. As walking around area there appears to be better hotels to stay.

this was a nice find. the staff were friendly and helpful. looks like it was the place to be in the 60s and 70s.outside it has that look. they remodeled the rooms a couple years ago and it was nice. parking can be tough but they had enough for the weekend. we had a good time here and its a historical building. id stay again

So on the internet the pictures make The Inn of Long Beach look like a decent motel. Their amenities include a continental breakfast. But when we arrived we realized that the pictures are either old, or photo shopped to look better than real life!! The kind of people that were there, were a little scary and the "continental" breakfast included little powder sugared donuts like Hostess kind, and little store bought packaged mini muffins. The "juice" was Sunny Delight! Needless to say we went over to the very nice Vons across the street and got some decent breakfast! The clerk was nice, but that was about all that was good about this hotel. Well, that and the fact that it was close to downtown. It was not worth $80/night!!!! I would not return to stay there!!

Save your money and find something better. Do not come to this hotel. I understood that this was a LOW star hotel when I booked it but it's close to my home in Long Beach and at night would be convenient to access my parents.
I originally made the booking under my father's name but he ended up staying home, so my mom and my aunt came instead. I asked the clerk to change the booking to my name and just assumed it was done and that was my mistake.
After the first night my mom's key card didn't work and when I went to find out why, the EXTREMELY RUDE clerk said they needed my dad to come and update the room info. When I explained that they should have changed the name because my dad didn't come she said that wasn't her problem and refuse to change the keys and make them operable again. She refused to give me her name and she refused to connect me to her manager.
So now my mom can't leave her room because if she does she can't get back in. I paid way too much for a substandard room to deal with the drama from employees who have MY credit card information...who have MY driver's license...who has MY information and still refuses to change something as simple as a room key so my elderly mom and aunt can move freely.
This was the worst decision I could have possibly made and I DEEPLY regret it

Just about every hotel in the convention center area charges $25 a day/ night for parking. When you take into account the free parking here, it becomes a very good deal. The staff is very helpful as well. This is not a 4 star hotel, but for the money, it's a great deal.

I booked this hotel because I wanted to be in this location 3 weeks before my stay. On my way to the airport I received an email that my room was cancelled. I called immediately and was told that my credit card was declined so my stay was cancelled and they were overbooked so no room available for me. I had to book elsewhere with the same card that they claimed was declined. She said it was a policy of the management that this happened and offered no alternative. Beware. There was no issue with my card. It was a cruise day and they overbooked and got a higher price than I had paid. Shady and very disappointing on your day of travel. No apology just said that's our policy. Book elsewhere.

The staff were rude and nasty. Wouldn't even give me 1 extra towel. The rooms were filthy and in terrible disrepair, paint peeling off the walls and floor boards sticking up. The beds were hard as a rock. There were bugs! Save your money!!! Sleep in the car if you have to, just DON"T stay at this horrible, dump!!!

We got in late & my daughter & I are on our way home from hip reconstruction she had; so I’d booked a disability room. Filthy room, dirty floors, burn holes in blanket, tub seat in disability room gross. No towels, asked and towels given were gross and stained. Guy who appeared to work there (kept asking us if we needed anything) had his 1 year old in stroller & was smoking pot. He was high as a kite. My daughter was in too much pain for us to move til morning; which we did. I can’t believe this dump is right next to the nice Marriott Bonvoy. Disgusted. I demanded a refund. Will see if I have to fight for it.

it is the worse place to stay bugs in the bed . crickets in the bathroom . no smoke detectors in any room . the pot smokers were smoking up a storm there . the guest staying there let the dog poop everywhere and didn't clean it up . too expensive for the value of the room.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Inn and found it to be great! The staff are wonderful and very welcoming. The accommodate your needs. The rooms are large and clean. The view is amazing, the food very good, and the access to the beach is wonderful. The Internet is strong and simply, this is a great place to stay. The price is right as well and believe if you are looking for a great place, a simple place that is welcoming, and an affordable place...this is it.
