I was pleasantly surprised by the charm of the Varden; yes, the rooms are small but I love the minimalist furnishings - the room had everything I needed, the bed and bedding were immaculate and very comfortable. The room overall was very clean and sparkling - although the carpet is worn, it is also clean. And the hotel is surprisingly...

We stayed two nights at the Varden. This historic hotel has been fully refurbished and is located near the Arts district, in easy walking distance of the Harbor and some really good restaurants. The rooms are small but cozy, very well equipped with a super comfortable bed and plenty of power outlets for your chargers. There's free wifi and a...

A wonderful and charming boutique hotel. From the friendly greeting to the warm good bye, I couldn't have been happier. The linens are high quality, and I love the fact that it is a historic building renovated into clean, modern rooms. The beds are doubles, which was fine for me. Would love to return!

Pleasant, clean, close to the harbor and convention center. But it is the people that really make this hotel exceptional. Even a hug when you leave. Our second trip there. Unique.spotless and a very warm environment.

I came here today and I am already excited! it was raining when I arrived. As it was really close to the place, I decided to walk (it was really few steps) but got soooo wet. The receptionist was super friendly, he brought me hot tea and arranged the early check in. The hotel is historic and stylish. The towels,...

Very nice two night stay. Close to good restaurants three blocks over. Yes rooms are small but plush bed and cozy white sheets make up for it. Orlando could very well be the nicest hotel staff member ever. Will be back next year!

I've never written a review of a hotel in my life, but my stay was great here. It was everything I needed it to be. Clean, simple, and the staff was super helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We celebrate our Wedding Anniversary on New Year's Eve and for the last couple of years it has taken us to Long Beach. Staying at the Varden Hotel is a wonderful respite from the Larger "non personal" hotels that abound in Long Beach. From the first greeting to the going home after a stay, it is such a friendly atmosphere...

As someone in the special events industry it is part of daily life to find myself in all types of hotel properties. I really enjoyed my stay here while attending a conference in Long Beach. Why did I like so much? First, the service was outstanding. Second, the vibe was completely inviting. The minimalist decor is a personal favorite and...

It was a nice hotel with really nice people working there. The staff is very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are compact, but for the price it's well worth a stay. Location is good and within walking distance to everything near the convention center in Long Beach.

Thank Craig D
