I hesitate to tell you all how wonderful my stay was because I don't want to let the cat out of the bag and risk not being able to return because everything is booked solid!
The property is in the middle of orchards and golden, rolling hills. The front of the property is charming and lush with a lovely circular driveway, fountain, and lights. The simple two-story B&B stays nice and cool in 100+ degree heat (no window units thankfully!) and I believe the rooms are quite nice. As with any older building, you'll hear squeaks in the floorboards, but the rooms are surprisingly quiet. Front the upstairs balcony, you can enjoy the most wonderful sunsets and sounds of nature (there are many birds).
The breakfasts are to die for! Simply delicious, served on the outdoor patio complete with freshly squeezed juice and fine tuned to your dietary restrictions if needed. Chef Lisa works with you for your own specific meal time which was an accommodating surprise.
The pool area is great! A nice rectangular pool measuring 4.5 feet in depth in the middle and 3.5 feet at each end, stairs at both ends, and chairs and bistro sets all around, is a nice way to stave off the heat during the day. A lovely assortment of beach towels are available as well! There is also a Jacuzzi tub below the pool deck. In full view from the back of the property is a gorgeous rear yard full of green lawn, lush landscaping, and drop dead gorgeous king palms. It's simply a little piece of paradise tucked away in an unexpected place.
The market and shops, including a delicious Mexican restaurant, are about 10 minutes north of the property. The drive to the Sequoias is not too long at all but I agree with the local recommendation to get on the road early to avoid the line at the park entrance.
The only other things I feel may help with your stay is to know that the rooms do not have T.V. which, honestly, helped me fall asleep the moment my head hit the pillow. Speaking of which, the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are clean. If you do need T.V., there is a common area style living room downstairs complete with games. A full sized fridge is located downstairs on the outside patio and is available for guests to use. There is also a snack/reading/office room upstairs where guests may grab a light snack, tea, water, etc. Everything is included in the room rate.
Lastly, Chef Lisa is excellent at communicating via email and answering any questions you may have. Her response time was super quick and she was extremely accommodating.
Excellent property!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I came to this bed and breakfast for our honeymoon and it went beyond what we expected. The rooms were very comfy with a good AC unit (we had very hot weather while there) with a door that led straight to a very clean swimming pool. The attention to details is what we loved the most. The host was so welcoming and on arrival made us aware of where we could eat, provided containers we could use for our trip to sequoia national park, and provided a fridge for us to put our food in. When I mentioned my husband is diabetic she let us use their private fridge for his insulin.
The breakfast we had in the morning was the best breakfast we have had in forever. The egg dish, with the fresh fruit and the homemade cake really set us up for the day and was both filling and healthy.
This bed and breakfast was without doubt our favourite stay during our whole honeymoon and would highly recommend.

Staying in the center of miles of fragrant citrus groves, we had a comfortable night at The Plantation B&B in a King sized bed with newly hung photos of Zion Natl Park in our room. The breakfast was delicious, ample, and with a variety of jewel-colored citrus arranged on a pretty vintage plate. It is only minutes from the entry to Sequoia Natl Park. During winter and early in the week we had a scramble trying to find an open restaurant in this rural area.
Lisa is welcoming and is familiar with the local history. A couple nights would be just perfect as a close location to Sequoia.

This is a great experience just 17 miles from Sequoia National Park's gate. It appears to have been a mansion that was converted into lodging. The rooms are all different, there are two large sitting rooms, well equipped with couches, games and books.
The backyard is park like. There is a pool and a well heated hot tub as well as shaded tables, banana trees, shade trees and palm trees.
The breakfast is by a chef who used to do events for a well-known sports celebrity. She has fed sports stars, at least one serious presidential candidate and numerous other celebrities. Mine included a fancy egg dish with several kinds of meat cheese, etc, a sweet kind of tea, I've never heard of before, juice and at least a half dozen different kinds of fruit.
This is destination lodging. It is changing its name from Plantation Bed and Breakfast to The Park Bed and Breakfast.

I booked a stay at the Plantation Bed and Breakfast about two weeks before our trip. The trip to Sequoia was actually supposed to happen in March 2020 but everything closed down the day before we got there. So this was our long-awaited trip a year later.
I was so happy that I found a place to stay and so happy when we arrived at the Plantation Bed and Breakfast. Lisa, the owner, gave us a tour of the property and showed us to our room. She explained that she's in the process of renaming the rooms and we stayed in the "Ashley" room which will become the Bryce Canyon room. The room was very nice, the bed was comfortable and we fell asleep after a long day of hiking. The next morning we sat on the patio with two other couples for breakfast, properly socially distanced. Lisa is a former chef and breakfast was beyond words. Delicious doesn't even describe it. It started with fresh fruit and a cinnamon roll with coffee or tea, then we were served eggs benedict on a bed of arugula with toast. The presentation was beautiful. and the flavors were wonderful, We were definitely filled up for a day of hiking in Sequoia. Breakfast the next morning was just as wonderful with fresh fruit, yogurt parfait, and an egg alfredo with toast. Two of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time!
There is a "family room" where you can watch tv. And if you bring your own food (like we did) there is a microwave and refrigerator in a common area for your food.
The Plantation Bed and Breakfast is a beautifully maintained property with a pool and jacuzzi. If you are in the mood to buy fresh fruit or honey you can stop by the place next door!
I also feel like one of the other reviewers about not wanting to let the cat out of the bag and share my fabulous experience. But I want everyone to experience Lisa's breakfasts as they are the best ever!

Everything was perfect in the Aunt Pitty Pat room. We ran the fireplace and stayed warm and comfy in this quiet room just off the pool. King sized bed was super comfortable. After a long day at the World Ag Expo, it was so nice to be greeted by friendly and efficient Lisa. She had made delicious cookies for the guests that afternoon and gave us a good recommendation for a sandwich shop in nearby Exeter as we were not hungry enough for a full dinner. We ate our sandwiches in the back yard sitting area and just enjoyed the sounds of birds. Breakfast was a hit and in addition to the excellent egg dish Lisa had prepared, there were plenty of muffins, muesli, yogurt and grove ripened fresh fruit. We enjoyed the breakfast room and talking to the other guests and hearing of their travel adventures. An A+ stay at the Plantation.

We could not stay at The Parks Inn Bed & Breakfast. It was so outdated and furnished with very old furniture, very poorly decorated. There was no television (not that I needed it but it should have been there), refrigerator or microwave, I've stayed at other B & B s that had everything. The rooms were very close together and noisy. We were very uncomfortable and had to leave. I also think it was overpriced. The pictures on line were not very good and the reviews were very misleading, but maybe other people have different standards. I could not get a refund, so I have learned to never book a place that is non refundable. Hotels.com was not helpful, so I will never use them again, We have had good experiences with reputable chain hotel that maintain higher standards.

Very nice and cozy stay. The location is excellent if visiting Sequoia NP - only about 25 min drive to the entrance and you will conveniently pass restaurants, markets, coffee shops, and gas to fuel up for the day. The rooms are not luxurious but definitely clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the highlight of the stay - warm, homemade muffins and pastries, fresh fruit, an egg dish and hot coffee each morning. Served outside on a quite patio. Wonderful stay!!!

Very nice B&B, housed in a typical American wooden house with a beautiful garden, swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The landlady is a very friendly and helpful person. The super breakfast served in the garden, with freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit, homemade desserts, freshly cooked eggs, tea and coffee. In this B&B you can really feel America, far from the hotel chains where everything is anonymous and the same. The room was very small and ours had a private bathroom but in the corridor, this was not very comfortable but everything else made up for the inconvenience. The bed very comfortable.
Very convenient for visiting Sequoia Park.
I absolutely recommend this B&B.
