The room was clean and owners were friendly. Air conditioner was loud though it did create good "white noise" to block out sounds from other rooms. Don't count on the WiFi I was two doors from the office and was never able to connect. They need a better router. The front office was dirty and tiles were coming off the... More

First impression: staff was nice. BUT, I didn't enjoy the lecture on air-conditioning. "Turn off your air conditioner every time you leave the room even for a short while and make sure you close all the windows too. We've had to go in to turn them off ourselves if you forget. It costs a fortune." Really? Yikes! Also, they advertise... More

Had a wonderful stay at the Shasta Lake Motel - Super friendly owners!! Refreshing pool that was clean and perfect temperature!! The room have that cottage/lodge feeling which is exactly what I was looking for - Not interested spending time in a generic florescent box! I look forward to returning!!

I absolutely loved this place! Had a sweet rustic charm, and the family that owns the place is very accommodating and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the place is well priced. Would definitely come here again.

A shining example of old school roadside lodging hospitality. Clean and cozy and quaint...with a welcoming charm. Easy walking distance to local restaurants, bar, laundramat, and grocery market. A great little home base for your Lake Shasta adventure.

This is definitely a budget hotel...no frills. I felt like I had walked back in time to the 1960's and the prices reflected that. The owners are super friendly and they seem to do everything themselves. The room was adequate but the bed wasn't that comfortable. Everything was very clean. You can hear the noise from highway 5 all night... More

The Shasta Lake Motel is a wonderful place to stay! We went up a few weeks ago for a quick getaway and we had the best time staying there! The owners are so friendly, honest, and accommodating. They are also pet friendly, so we loved being able to take our dog with us. The grounds were kept very nice and... More

Our stay was just one night on a road trip but we loved the place. Rustic but very clean and friendly! We had a great dinner next door at Alyisons Restaurant on a lovely outdoor patio. They even let our dog on the patio. The Shasta Lake Motel has beautiful grounds to wander with your dog and smell the spring... More

After over 400 miles on my Harley this was a great place to stay on my trip from Portland to San Francisco earlier this month. Run by a nice friendly couple from the bay area, Jay and Stephanie. Nice clean pool and a beautiful, friendly German Shepard named Slate walking around greeting everybody. They made it really easy to check... More

This was the cutest, friendliest, and nicest motel that I've EVER stayed at! We came in late and she gave me a great deal on an awesome room! There was a fully furnished kitchenette with dishes and everything! It has a home away from home feel to it! We will most definitely be back!!

“The rooms with a kitchenette are very helpful if you plan to stay longer than a night! Just bring some of your own food and cook it there. You will save lots of money instead of always having to go out to eat. Kitchenettes are stocked with a mini fridge and stove, as well as a microwave and cooking utensils.”
