I was there for the weekend, and I was not please d whith the room. The room number 3 ribbon and laces was not so charming. To be honest it needs maintanance, smell like swerve. It has a great view, but for $200 dollars per night I expected better. The comforter and bed sheet has holes and has bleach stains , the towels looked very old showed decoloration , portable AC hose were taped to the wall . Place looks very shabby. I am not sure if others rooms are in better shape. But will all my respect over needs to put more attention not only to the building but also to herself she does not look very professional she present herself with wrinkle clothing , is not a very good way to promote her business.

I am a frequent traveler from Las Vegas (now retired). My wife is currently employed at the Venetian/Palazzo and I'm a former Station Casinos employee (Red Rock). This was my second stay at the Arrowhead Lake Inn. On my first visit, I was in the Rose Garden Room. I stayed in the Blue Boy Room with my wife and daughter on this visit. I have to say, if you are looking for a simple get-a-way from all the hustle and bustle of the large city life (being raised in San Francisco, CA); this is the place. Located across the street from the Village, you have a beautiful view of the Lake by simply sitting on the outside porch. This little Inn has a lot of history. Lynn is the Manager and she is a Sweetheart. She takes great care of you and will bend over backwards to accommodate your requests. I love this place and I look forward to returning as my daughter is currently employed at one of the local schools. As a Marine (non-active status), I approve. ~Remember your Military Discount~

Lynn was very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and cozy.. our family really enjoyed the two nights we stayed there. We loved the nostalgic decor and we will definitely revisit in the winter!

Okay, I am still here and I love it so much I could not wait to write a review. The woman at the desk (Lynn?) was soooo nice and let me check in early since the room was empty and I needed to do some writing during the day. I booked this last minute when I decided to stay overnight before picking up my daughter at Palicamp -- and I have stayed in a lot of 5-star hotels and rental houses and this is truly one of the most charming places I have stayed, and so reasonable, and the view of the lake from my room and balcony are amazing -- it's just the sweetest best getaway from LA. (I'm in the Love Letters Room). Room for a kid and parents, romantic or family trip, or solo! Easy walk to town from here and just a little gem in a town where it's hard to find a gem of a hotel. I'm looking at other reviews and yes, there are some ants by the fridge (we're in the woods!) and the towels are mismatched but it's really such a sweet place with amazing views and lots of room, and nicely decorated. I don't even usually like bed and breakfast-feeling places normally, usually prefer modern, but this place has won my heart. I will recommend it to al of my friends.

We booked a two night stay at this hotel and paid for it when we checked in. Later in the night, one by one, bugs started appearing in our room. By that time, there was no one working at the hotel. We were NOT told that the only person working there leaves at 5pm. It was hard to sleep when my husband and I were constantly killing these disgusting bugs! The next morning we told Lynn, the lady who was working at the hotel, about the bug problem, and that we were not staying another night at this hotel, even though she had offered to move us to a new room. We told Lynn we would pay for the one night, but wanted a refund for the second night since we were not staying in the bug infested, and dirty, room. (I have pictures to prove it was dirty and I have pictures showing the bugs, and will present them if necessary.) Lynn said she would contact the owner and get back to us that same day. That never happened! As of today, 6 days later, we have not even heard from this hotel, but the charge is on our bill. Obviously, we are disputing this bill! We will never stay there again!

The problem with this place is the things they advertise to attract customers are just plain false: Free Breakfast: More like complimentary snacks, coffee you have to brew yourself, gas station pastries and water/soda Free Wifi: couldn't get a decent connection from the bed. had to stand next to the door Room: didnt match the pictures. we expected a fireplace, got an extra chair instead. Smelled terrible, like my grandmas house. Worn out, mis matched blankets and towels. Bathroom: Couldn't even get a hot shower after a day on the slopes. I reported this to the management and all they said was I was using the shower wrong (i wasn't) Grounds: stairs and walkways were blocked by snow and dangerous to walk on. no effort to provide safe access. Some how this place is listed as a 3-star hotel with a 4/5 star rating. That is a joke. This should be a 1, 2 star hotel at most. With some investment, this place could be much better but it doesn't seem like thats happening any time soon.

We went there on 12/26 when the snow had been quite heavy and the entire driveway and parking lot was filled with snow. When we checked in, we were unable to open the hotel room door. To which the cleaning lady responded that she would reflect to the owner and that for now, we would have to do our best to open the jammed door on our own. We returned to the hotel at night after our ski trip, and found the parking lot (which only has four car spaces) entirely filled. We tried to reach the front office but there were no workers available. Hence we contacted the customer service via the phone. In our first phone call, the customer service person told us that there is another driveway a few minutes away, where we could drive up and park the car there. We circled the car a few times, finally found the entirely unlit, icy and hilly driveway which our tiny Minicooper has no way of making it up. We called the customer service person again, who proceeded to tell us that "if our cars could make it, why couldn't yours?" We were taken aback by her attitude towards us and asked "why would you question your customer?", to which she responded "you're lucky we even picked up the phone call." We tried to ask for a refund, saying that there was no way we could have spent the night there without a parking spot. Instead of empathizing with our situation, another customer service person on the phone victim blamed us, asking why didn't we cancel earlier so they could have recruited another customer to stay in our room. It was amusing to me that they would say that, given that we did not anticipate the hotel to run out of parking spaces to adequately accommodate their customers and that it would have such bad service to the point that we could not receive help when we needed it. In fact, we were not the only ones who encountered this situation. An old couple ran into the same situation as we did. While we were "fortunate" enough to be able to drive back home that same night under two hours, that couple was forced to park their car in a private lot nearby in order to stay, while risking a parking ticket or even having their car towed. We are attempting to refund this hotel stay. I did not receive the service I had expected with my purchase at the Arrowhead Lake Inn. We did not receive any of the services that I was guaranteed- a parking spot, a place to stay at night, customer support to help us when we were struggling.

First, I want to say that I really, *really* wanted to give this place a great review. They were so kind when my husband got COVID and rebooked us twice without charging us. But the room was such a disappointment! There was a weird smell that I can only describe as mold mixed with bleach. The ceiling fan was covered in dust so thick that at first I thought it was frost (January.) The bed linens were quite old (which is ok if they're clean) but the fitted sheet had absolutely no elastic so it was bunching up underneath us all night long; I woke every hour and my husband woke up on the bare mattress (we're not rough sleepers.) The duct tubing from the free-standing air conditioner had fallen partially off the wall (and you could see there were repeated attempts to re-duct tape it back), the bathmat was literally so threadbare you could see the floor below, there was a dilapidated vase of fake flowers in the bathroom that was full of dust, the one armoire where you could put clothing had no knob to open the door and no hangers, rendering it completely useless. When we went into the lobby to return the key (the woman *knew* we were checking out) I started by telling her about the sheets and she answered breezily that she'd put new ones on (remember, we were LEAVING.) As we have a disabled son, we had to leave quickly (I can't tell you how badly we needed this overnight trip) so I couldn't stand there and get into it with her. Please know that we understand we're budget travelers but it seems Arrowhead Lake Inn doesn't even offer the basics of cleanliness and good repair in their rooms. Very disappointed.

Pro’s- Great location to the village/restaurants/shopping. Space heater worked great. Friendly front desk check in. Room was supplied with coffee maker, coffee and accoutrements. Real glassware provided. In room Microwave & refrigerator. Cons- Dirty and unkept. Miss leading representation of “free breakfast” - prepackaged sweet rolls, pop tarts, instant oatmeal, small apples, potato chips, candy. There was only one cup of coffee in the coffee maker at 9 AM. Needless to say we went out to breakfast! As far as the glassware provided in the room- due to the lack of cleanliness I would not touch them. There were however some plastic cups in the bathroom that were packaged if you needed water. No central heat/air just a space heater, luckily it worked great. It took forever to get warm water in the shower. It never got hot. If someone turned on the faucet or flushed the toilet you froze in the shower. Bedding ill fitting, One pillowcase had stains. Bath towels were old and mismatched. Mold actively growing in bathroom ceiling light/fan fixture. Smell that would not dissipate. A mix of musty and chemical cleaning products. TV Remote did not work Conclusion- There does not seem to be a good option in this area. In reading multiple reviews for other options there was the same story. Dirty and unkept… We needed to be in that area as we were visiting family and we wanted to be in close proximity. So my advice is, bring your own pillow case, maybe your own sheets…. Don’t expect any frills. It provided what we needed, a place to lay our head for the night but doubt we will stay there again. For $170 a night it was not worth the money. We’re not fanatics and we are well-traveled But we expect cleanliness at the least! We have stayed at bed-and-breakfast all over the world and this is not a bed-and-breakfast! More like a motel. Unless a view of the lake is important to you I recommend the tapestry room which was in the back and upstairs. This was quieter and kept us away from street traffic noise as well as not having anyone clomping around above us.
