el cheap experience that will ruin your La Jolla stay. The mattress is sagging and the pillow gets uncomfortably hot. Poor ventilation. Shower is terrible. This "lodge" has no style. So called "continental breakfast" is a joke. Please do yourself and favor and do business with another hotel in the area.

We stayed in La Jolla one night. We wanted to check out the San Diego area but be close to the beaches. I LOVE this little beach town. Let me start out by saying that I am super picky about my hotel/motel rooms. There was no disappointment here. This motel was the only one with availability near the beaches where...

Made a quick to LaJolla and needed a place to stay for 1 night. Im glad I chose the La Jolla Village Lodge. It is cute independant motel with a beachy type of theme. I found it to be squeaky clean and comfortable. I had a queen bed that was comfy and had good pillows. The staff was very friendly...

Independent motel. Very friendly and helpful owners/staff. My daughter and I stayed here 1 night while we were looking at UCSD. We felt very safe. Great location. The motel provides simple breakfast in the morning - bagels, muffins. But on their recommendation, we walked about a block and found a delightful local coffee shop with a wide range of pastries...

The management at this independent motel was so kind and helpful upon our arrival. La Jolla is a pricey neighborhood- this relatively inexpensive motel made it possible for us to enjoy the area! Walking distance to everything in La Jolla.

We are local but I needed to move out for termite tenting. This was a simple. Inexpensive way to stay 2 nights in the village. Central location. Rooms were clean but very Spartan. Large TV set however. Friendly staff. Ample parking. Motel like feeling. Free Internet.

Thank you for your detailed review of our hotel. As far as the Spartan rooms, we are working on renovating (one by one), so if you decide to book with us again, please ask for one of our renovated rooms! See you soon!

We stayed one night, a Saturday, in order to attend an artist reception. This hotel offered a prime location for walking to the Cove and around the Village. We were greeted so warmly, and our room was clean, comfortable and quiet (except for the people on the floor above us at 2am). For the price we were very pleased with...

Very friendly staff, ready to answer all questions. The location is great - 7-minute walk from La Jolla Cove Beach. Clean, comfortable rooms. The building is a little bit old, but it does not cause much inconvenience. Breakfast is small but quite diverse (pastries, fruit, toast, coffee, juice). Good quality/price ratio. I would definitely stay here again.
