This is a well run hotel, with a quality bed, linens and products. It's really between a 4 and 5 but since that's not a choice I went with the 5. The service is prompt, polite but not obsequious. The hotel has been renovated so that it feels well kept and current, but retains an old world charm. The hotel...

We went for a weekend my wife and me. We were treated as royalty from the staff outside to the people inside. We had reserved a small suite that had a great view and very quaint, and we like that a lot. The whole weekend the staff was fabulous. They accommodate us in everything. We struck a conversation with a...

Excellent hotel with great service. Very clean. Upgraded our room to the adjacent hotel property. The room was spacious, had a small kitchen and separate bedroom. A partial view of the ocean on a somewhat quiet side street. The air conditioning unit in the ceiling of the bathroom had a small condensate leak, which was repaired immediately. The only problem...

Dear Robert: I appreciate very much your candid feedback about your recent visit to La Jolla. It sounds as if you stayed in one of our extended-stay suites (each with a full kitchen and fireplace), which are located in two wings adjacent to the hotel’s main building. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the accommodations. I do apologize about...

This hotel has a lot of character - though I do agree with the odd layout as stated by other reviewers. My room was on the 4th floor and when I followed the signs.. I walked down a hallway took a left and then needed to go down 6-7 steps to my room..slightly awkward. The room was very tiny, but...

Dear Nutmeg863: Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us during your recent business trip to La Jolla. I am sorry, however, that you weren't thrilled with the guest room we assigned. This is about my 6th stay at this property, this time we stayed in a queen suite on the first level - while spacious it was not as light and airy as some of the 2nd and floor queen rooms.
