The staff here, especially one young Khmer lad...is extremely rude and arrogant. The kitchen lady is just as bad. They get orders wrong. Makes mistakes on accounts. Charge items to your account that you have not ordered or charge the same item twice on different bills. The food is expensive in regards to other places. We got served rotten boiled... More

This hotel is cheap and rather clean (clean in Cambodian style if you know what I mean). The staff was not very helpful, only one manager was ready to help us. Wi Fi worked not very good. Also we had ants in our room. The cleaners came to our room once in 3 days, but they cleaned it in some... More

Just a hotel and nothing more. From time to time in the morning there was a water on the floor. Stuff - just guys who are doing their work. It's good for a couple of days. They have a swimming pool but I don't sure if it's clean enough for everyday swimming.

The Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was ideal near to Victory Beach and also Victory Hill bars and restaurants. The rooms adequately furnished and had a nice balcony. There was an outside bar area with a small swimming pool.

After have been staying in sihanoukville for a while, we decided to get away from the amazing surroundings by serendipity beach and move up to victory beach instead. We booked a 2 person air-conditioned bedroom at Sakal bungalows online and paid a fair price. However when we got there and had to do our check in, the guy asked for... More

We booked online, and paid for the aircondition room, and the booking service made a mistake and wrote fan room on our reservation. The staff didnt want to do anything, despite we could show them how much we paid, and our receet. The rooms are not clean, and the staff is so unfriendly and rude. I stayed at Sakal a number of years ago on a previous trip to Snooky and it was an enjoyable stay, so it was a surprise to see how far it's gone downhill. My room smelt musty when the door was opened and it was only later that I realised it was because there was a pipe leaking in the... More

You find a lot of retired old men in the Guesthouse that like to spend most of the time at the bar. The rooms are OK but I did not like the atmosphere. The staff is not much professional. The road that leads to this guesthouse is broken path.

As the title says, nicest $3 dorm I've stayed in thus far on a three month trip. You get a fresh toothbrush and bar soap on the bed, your own lock box with key, and the bathrooms always have toilet paper. The only iffy thing is how clean the room actually is. The room was cleaned while we were out,... More
