My friends and I loved the rustic accommodations! The cabins were lovely with some dated furniture that was fitting for the atmosphere. Everything was up or down the street - the local market, brewery, pizzeria and main square were all within walking distance. I'll definitely stay here again when visiting Kernville!

Hello, thank you for your review! Our lodge has been open since 1955 and we've worked hard to both maintain and upgrade into the 21st century with pride! We're very fortunate to have a location close to everything you mentioned, so any time you have the urge to come back and visit Kernville, we'll be right here and waiting to...

We arrived from the Tusayan (South Rim, Grand Canyon) by car and were very tired after this very long drive. The desk person just looked at us and said " Boy, you look exhausted" and gave us a free upgrade to a larger suite that would better accommodate our party of four. Our whole stay was terrific. The rooms were...

Hello, thank you for your review! I just wanted to let you know that The Kern Lodge actually provides the wood for the FirePit! There is a pile of wood located in the Park Area near the shed. Perhaps we need to make this more visible... I'll see what we can do so that there is no confusion for future...

Great clean room w/ a kitchenette! We only stayed one night. We went up to Kern for MTBing & KRBC. Small difficulties operating the TV. Staff friendly all around. Left an item in room, shipped item back to me. Stumbling distance from KRBC. 👍👍

Hello, Thank you for your review! Our area is wonderful for all kinda of activities, whether it be next door at the Kern River Brewery, or out mountain biking as you experienced. We're so glad you had a good time! Our TVs can be a bit tricky if you're unfamiliar with their operating system; however, there is always a staff...

The Kern Lodge provided a home a way from home during our stay in Kernville. It was charming and beautiful! It exceeded our expectations. It was very difficult going back home. I will definitely be back!

Hello, we're so happy to hear you had a great time with us at The Kern Lodge! Ironically, we have a Duplex called "Home Sweet Home"! This just confirms we were in the ballpark with the name! Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us, we hope to see you when you stop by Kernville again! Thank You,...

An older place with knotty pine paneling & tons of charm. They keep it clean & stock the kitchenettes with adequate dishes, pots 7 pans, utensils, etc. Each unit is a little different. The ones at the end (#'s 116 to 113) are the most private & quiet. Would definitely stay again! Kernville is a small town in the foothills...

There aren't many places to stay in Kernville but I'm sure glad we stayed here. The host was exceptional, very helpful, and made us feel very welcome. We had the Eagle's Nest which had it's own kitchen/ eating area and had all the amenities we needed. It was super clean, very quiet, and close to everything.

The Kern Lodge was very easy to find, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was cute and comfortable. It's a very short walk to groceries and the very good Kern River Brewing Company. It was a distinct and very pleasant contrast to Las Vegas from which we drove. I'd highly recommend this as a stop on your...

The situation and location is ideal for Lake Isabella and the Kern Valley. The rooms are adequate and clean and with nothing particularly special about them. It is handy to have a fridge and microwave but of little self catering use if there is no cutlery, plates, mugs etc. The village has most of what you need in the way...
