I got lucky when I pulled into this place. Very nice room with beautiful woodwork and a comfortable bed! Great location! Near a micro brewery for meals & libations. I will be back someday to this amazing area & quality accommodations!

I stayed here with some friends as a stop-over on our way to Death Valley. After staying, we decided to plan a full weekend stay to ride the local roads... I stayed in 112. The room was much larger than I expected, with a kitchen, large bathroom, and a patio with a grill out back. It was clean and comfortable.... More

We decided to stay in Kernville as a stop off on our way to Palm Springs. We were a bit apprehensive when we arrived as there were a gang of young adults round the pool drinking and with loud music. We were given lodge no 1 which is right on the outside of the property and near the road and... More

Hello, thank you for your review, though we're not entirely sure you meant it for us as our name is not 'Kernville Lodge', we are The Kern Lodge; granted, much of the valley is "Kern" this, and "River" that; people can easily be mistaken. Also, our rooms are numbered "101, 102, 103", etc., not #1, #2, #3, etc. If you... More

We spent one night here and would definitely recommend it. Price was great, staff was very friendly, location is awesome. The room was really cute, great to have a mini fridge and coffee maker. We stayed in a more expensive B&B the night before but we actually liked this place better. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Having stayed at the Kern Lodge in July while conducting emergency response actions to the devastating Erskine Creek Fire, I realized I had found a gem of a motel, the rarest of welcome surprises while traveling. Recently I had to return to Kernville, again on business, but brought Karen along as I had thought she would love jointly exploring the... More

Very well kept and clean. The bed is a nice memory foam that allows you to sleep comfortably through the night. The room had a small kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator. Outside the room had a winging bench.... a nice touch. Clean but unheated pool. Walking distance to restaurants and food store.

We have tried different places to stay in Kernville since our favorite B&B in Kernville closed its doors 2 years ago. We finally found it. We stayed in room 114, the Meadows room. It is a large, very clean room with tile floors which I will take over carpeting in a hotel any day of the week. The kitchen and... More

I stayed here for two nights during a June rafting trip, and was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and quiet, the staff very friendly, and the location was convenient. The room was rustic, but this is a mountain town after all, and it felt just right. I'll stay here again during future trips to the area.

The Kern Lodge is a nice, clean motel that charges hotel prices. We liked our unit, #112 which was directly across from the pool. It had a kitchenette and a private patio, but in summer months it's way too hot to sit out there or BBQ. My wet jeans dried out in two hours! The lodge is well maintained and... More

Hello, thank you for your review. I'd like to offer an explanation on the parts of it that weren't so pleasant for your experience; we have a call box for two reasons. The first is that the front desk staff may be required to leave the office to attend other parts of the property. All phone lines are then transferred... More

We drove into Kernville 1st visit and there was a cute little lodge nested in the trees, then found out it was not the one we picked! I was somewhat disappointed as we approached the Kern Lodge. Hello, thank you for your review. We would love to have more trees along the property, but at the same time, it's a blessing. Pine trees, though beautiful, can be a hinderence on the view of the mountains, and would also be a challenge for any groundskeeper when the pine needles shed. For nature, if you stay in January -...
