Great find for a stop over in Kernville, CA. Clean, quiet, relaxing and a wonderful staff. We had everything we needed for our stay and room 17 is the best room. Overlooking the river with a little patio out front. Would definitely stay here again.
Fabulous setting overlooking the River. Gina was fabulous! Absolutely loved our short stay in this really cute lodge. Clean and welcoming. Cater for those visiting for fishing. Plenty of wildlife to see. Views and scenery are amazing. The area is definitely worth a visit. Interesting drive to Kernville! Great deli across the road. Thanks Sequoia lodge.
The motel is very cute, with light & decent sized rooms. The bathroom is a bit old but clean and worked fine. Kitchenette had a microwave & fridge with a somewhat random selection of silverware & knoves Lovely location near the River Kern but over 100 miles (3 hours) from King's Canyon so less than ideal for visiting the main Sequioa areas
Sweet location , right on the river. this said its not a very fishable location. a lot of pockets to high stick with a fly rod. Great hiking is very close and a cool little store across the street has fresh coffee early.
Room was clean, peaceful, and had everything we needed. Being so close to the river, we were able to walk down a few stairs at the end of the complex and be at the river's edge. Gina helped us check in late and followed up to make sure we were completely happy.
So this is an OK little roadside hotel. Nothing fancy. You get what you pay for , and this IS Kernville. You can walk down to the river, but I'm not sure why you would want to do that. The shower was great! And I would say this is the definitive Fisherman decoration, they should get Field and Stream in to do a spread!
This is our 7th year staying here and it always exceeds our expectations! This year they are under new ownership and it was fantastic. The rooms were clean, the bed was crazy comfortable and being able to walk right across the street to the little country store and café really makes the trip so easy. We get coffee and breakfast there every morning and pick up any items we forgot (this year it was a toothbrush). Having such easy access to the river is key for us, our boys like to fish and we like to float in the river, everyone is happy.
We stayed here for 1 night on a road trip around California. We had pretty low expectations but this place definitely exceeded them. Staff was helpful and friendly, place was very nice and clean, spacious and had everything we needed. We loved the back patio overlooking the river and it made a great late night hangout spot with beautiful surroundings and scenery. We would 100% stay here again and looking forward to doing so soon.
Awesome place. Right next to the Kern River with walking paths. Our room theme was Rainbow Trout from the bed sheets to the wall border. Restaurant and market right across the street. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely, will be staying again.
