This Inn was very charming and clean. We loved the warm antique decor and helpful staff. As others have noted the rooms are very small. Although we had prepared ourselves for that aspect, it still felt that we were playing in a slide puzzle, trying to maneuver around each other in the room. By arriving early we were able to... More

My cousins, sister, mother & I stayed here over the weekend for our girl time getaway. The Julian Gold Rush Hotel was suggested by my cousin and the beginning of our new found family tradition. FYI: this is a historic home built in 1890. If you do your homework, this place is obviously not a modern hotel, but a beautifully... More

Julian Gold Rush Hotel is a place to call home the moment you step on the porch and back in time. The rooms, parlor and grounds are exquisitely decorated in the western Victorian style. Great food. Lovely staff.

Stayed in room 8 to celebrate 83 birthday! We were able to choose our room once we arrived. The room itself was very small but very clean and nicely decorated.Comfortable beds, very quiet. Appreciated early coffee delivery in the morning. Delicious breakfast.

Love to go to the Julian Gold Rush Hotel. Will go back. This was our 4th time there. Fills like going pack in time. It is a must go place to unplug for the world. This time we took friends with us. Br back next year.

Was in Julian for a wedding and needed to stay for two nights. The Julian Gold Rush Hotel is a pretty original structure which retains lots of charm but that also means it retains some less positive aspects as an old structure. My room was on the front of the building, first floor. The room was ok sized, very low... More

If you are looking for an experience, look no further. This old time hotel will give you that, some quirky and a bunch of history to boot. I checked in early so got to choose which small room I wanted. The rooms are very tight for space that is taken up almost entirely by the bed. No tv if that... More

We stayed at the Julian Gold Rush Hotel for a quick/nearby day of relaxation and fun and it was sheer perfection from the moment we checked in. We were lucky enough to have a room that fronted the Main Street with 2 chairs to enjoy the atmosphere. The room was quite lovely and very clean! After walking around we enjoyed... More

My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary by spending the weekend in Julian. We stayed at the Julian Gold Rush hotel, located right on Main Street. As many reviewers before us have said, it is indeed like taking a step back in time to a much more simpler era. Truly, the entire hotel setting is very periodic and fairly... More
