Last summer my daughter wanted a wedding in the mountains...we found the perfect place in Julian. It quickly turned from a wedding evening into a full week end destination event for about 80 family and friends. I use to do weddings decades ago...but I never had a better experience than this unique lodge! They were so helpful and accomadating...we did... More

Where to Start? If your going to stay at the Pine Hills Lodge make sure you look at the rooms first because for as much money as they charge for these rooms they don't care to put money back into them. The picture angels make the rooms look way bigger than they are. My husband and I got married there... More

I arrived at the Lodge on Friday and stayed through Sunday for the Seale-McNeeley wedding. What a blast we all had from Friday noon to Sunday 3:30 am!! What I loved about the Lodge itself were their Pub, Bartender Jason and Michell B. the Chef. Oh, and the enormous fireplace that greets you as you enter the reception area. That... More

I booked our reservation to Pine Hills Lodge after viewing the lovely pictures on their website. I can only assume the pictures are from a much earlier time-like 20 to 30 years ago. Our cabin had a front door that didn't close completely, leaving a large gap near the bottom. The room was full of leaves and dirt that had... More

My wife and I booked two nights in the "North Star" cabin. When we arrived the manager gave us the keys and left the site right away. That should have been a clue as to what was waiting for us. The doors to the cabin were warped and every matter of debris had been blown into the bedroom through a... More

My daughter's wedding could not have been nicer than at Pine Hills Lodge. The lodge itself is a beautiful, old, craftsman style building just right for the number of guests that we had - about 80. It could definitely hold more but felt comfortable with that number. The location is wonderful in the mountains outside San Diego. Lodging at Pine... More

Our weekend wedding experience was terrific ... from the rehearsal dinner on Friday evening in the Pub to the actual ceremony in front of the spectacular fireplace and the reception in the main dining room and rustic lodge area. We concluded our weekend with Brunch on Sunday morning. The staff was very helpful and took a personal interest in our... More

Without a doubt, Pine Hills Lodge is one of the most beautiful lodges in the Julian area. Secluded setting in the hills among tall trees makes it a perfect place for a getaway. My cabin was very cozy, food for brunch was delicious, the pool was relaxing, live music was entertaining, customer service was excellent, and the nights were starry... More

This place is so overpriced for what you get - tiny bathroom with an unstable clawfoot tub. One tiny mirror in bathroom. Filthy carpet with rat droppings and burned near the fireplace. Two frogs in the bathroom. No phone, no TV, no hairdryer, no iron, no housekeeping service, etc. All this for close to $200 per night!! There was no... More
